It is still up to us as Christians to make decisions based on the Word - obedience is what God desires.

Suppose you have an unconverted person, but who is positive towards Christianity and is otherwise very good for the economy, etc etc., and he is running against: A Born-Again Believer or, if you're Catholic, a guy so holy he performs miracles with his touch, but who supports amnesty, (un)Free trade and many other things you know will destroy the country?

First of all, I don’t understand - are you asking me a question? You made a statement of sorts and just let it hang. We have had born-again believers in office - Jimmy Carter claimed to be one - as did GWB and Reagan. As long as a president believes in God and does nothing to harm our faith - his job and duties are outlined in the Constitution - I didn’t read the clause in it that one has to be a born-again believer. However, it is much better for us as a country to have someone in office and who surrounds himself with believers, but that isn’t always possible. Governing is governing not pastoring a church. I don’t believe there is a holy Catholic person who can perform miracles with his touch. I will say this though - if this illegal problem isn’t brought up control every one of our rights and liberties will be eroded - including our freedom to worship God - it’s already starting. SO, allowing foreigners to overtake this country will result in a total loss of all of our liberties.
