If Joe Biden jumps into the Democratic primary, Hillary Clinton will be ready to go on the offensive. According to a Clinton campaign source, a team of opposition researchers working on behalf of Clinton is currently digging through Biden’s long record in office to develop attack lines in case the vice-president runs. The research effort started about a month ago and is being conducted by operatives at Correct the Record, the pro-Hillary superpac founded by David Brock, which is coordinating with the Clinton campaign. According to the source, the research has turned up material on Biden’s ties to Wall Street; his reluctance to support the raid that killed Osma bin Laden; and his role in the Anita Hill saga as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
The oppo-research project reveals how seriously Clintonworld is taking the prospect of a Biden candidacy.

I would think Oppo-research on either Joe or Hillary should be a minimum wage job, as the book length lists for either, need only be cut and paste from google.

Joe knows that The Beast still has those FBI files from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.
If Biden runs the real pressure on Hillary will come from the Obama Justice Department. Her legal problems regarding violation of national security laws is just the prod. If she doesn’t get the message and drop out, the FBI will do a serious investigation of the bribes she laundered through Bill’s speeches and her phony foundation while Secretary of State. She can keep the money or be the Democratic candidate. She can’t do both.

I suspect she will ultimately drop out for “medical reasons” but judging by prior Clinton campaigns she will have no trouble getting cesspool-filthy going after Unca Joey.
If anyone could have stopped the Clintons, they would have by now.

I believe the statement should be:
DOJ is doing the oppo-research for Biden.
All the leaks about the e-mails might be a good clue.
Attacking Slow Joe will make Hillary more likeable. lol
Picking on Joe could go over like booing at the Special Olympics.
This should prove entertaining.
The Dems are so filthy they will stoop to anything, but I have a feeling this will go one of two ways. Biden will run ONLY if they already know Hillary is finished. No way they are both running even if they do make it look like they are for a little bit for pure theater. If he’s running it’s because they know her coronation has been canceled and she will come up with some kind of story to drop out. The other way this can go is after a big build up Biden says he’s not running, and makes a big show of endorsing Hillary with the idea being that if just half of the people who are contributing to his polling numbers go to her she will be in better shape. Whatever does happen it will be based on something dirty but we already know that.

David Brock is an incorrigible liar.
He is possibly the least honest man ever to succeed in American journalism.
The misdemeanors of fabulists such as Jayson Blair and Stephen Glass had little significance beyond embarrassing some editors, but Brock helped wreck a presidency with his Troopergate reporting.
Brock has apologized for that and for trashing Anita Hill and threatening to smear the source of a particularly damning anecdote about Clarence Thomas.
Yet this admitted liar has somehow resuscitated his career, as an arbiter of honest journalism no less.
The thing is: Brock never changed. He’s still a hit man, just for the other team. He was on MSNBC just the other night calling Fox News chairman Roger Ailes a racist, based on a 45-year-old quote he had ripped from context (which we’ll revisit).
Ailes had used “the N-word prepping Richard Nixon for a public appearance,” Brock charged inaccurately, before rushing on to list more random and spurious evidence against him.
The vicious and unsupported personal attack was striking coming from Brock. Here is a man whose acceptance in the mainstream media is due entirely to his story of repentance and conversion, yet his sins are so odious that one has to think not that he’s a backslider, but that he never saw the light at all.
From 1997 to 2002, Brock wrote several drafts of his conversion story. From “Confessions of a Right-Wing Hit Man,” published in Esquire, to the final, book-length version, “Blinded by the Right: The Conscience of an Ex-Conservative,” Brock developed a narrative aimed at ingratiating himself with the left.
It worked. In The New Yorker, Hendrik Hertzberg vouched for the conversion from hit man to respectable Democrat.
