Senate Democrats are saddling up for another gun-control push in response to the shooting at Umpqua Community College. Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) announced Monday that he is reaching out to Democratic senators on moving background checks legislation.
If we dont take action, we are equally responsible for innocent deaths as the sick individuals who plot and carry out these horrific measures, Reid declared Monday on the Senate floor. One thing is clear: To pass background checks, we need Republicans to stop acting as puppets of the NRA.

McConnell I’m sure will find a way to turn the senate on it’s head so a minority can pass gun control.
Where’s Harry’s brother when we really need him?
We need to do something even when its perfectly clear another gun control law wouldn’t have stopped the massacre in Roseburg.
But liberals like Obama and Reid aren’t about to let a good crisis go to waste.
If only the gun nuts would get out of the way, Chris Harper-Mercer’s victims would be alive today.
Now that’s what passes for cheap political grandstanding.
Sorry, Sen. Reid - the Second Amendment isn’t up for sale.
forcing gun control on law abiding citizens is like getting a vasectomy because your neighbor has too many kids. per Clint Eastwood
Well, he is in charge after all, despite the “Republican” majority.
Hey, NRA, how’s that A-rating for Harry Reid workin’ out for ya.
“what does that make Reed?”
A suppurating Pilonidal Cyst.
We are essentially saying the same thing. The politician has read the public like a book. Passing and implementing obamacare was perceived, before the fact, one heck of a fight. The public essentially said, who cares, I am too wrapped up in whatever entertains me. When they come after the guns in earnest, it will be the same thing. The public will be too addicted to its pleasures to make the sacrifices that will be necessary. The politicians realize this and are just biding their time. Actually, generation by generation, they are winning.
The mob should have dug a hole in the desert and used it.
In addition to the gun control laws that are already working so well in Chicago, what do they have in mind?
Reid et alii would have us killed rather than defend ourselves.
Ergo they are accessories before the fact as they encourage killers by having gun-free zones and disarmament.
“Actually, generation by generation, they are winning.”

I’m not so sure. Ever since Obama has been the resident, the sale of firearms have been going through the roof.
More and more women are buying them, too.
Not ONE of his proposals would have prevented the UCC shootings. What anti-gun liberals want to do is to create a national database of guns and owners and through universal background checks. Then they will institute random compliance checks and if what you have doesn’t match the database, you’ll have all your firearms seized and destroyed and you will be jailed for many years.
Then they will pass a law prohibiting the transfer of firearms from anyone to anyone else for any reason, Once you die, the firearms must be turned over to the government for disposal.
This, of course, will do nothing to take the guns out of the hands of criminals, but that isn’t the goal. The goal is to disarm the population so they can institute their socialist utopia. If they have to kill a few million people to institute it, they won’t mind or lose any sleep.
Have you seen my neighbor? LOL!
Apparently his attitude adjustment didn’t “take”. He needs another therapy session. Some people are slow learners.
Been an NRA life member for decades, but not one more dime from me. YMMV.
Cowardice? You should ask people who know me about that allegation.
Exactly. If this happens it will be time to start buying our guns on the street from the criminals. Why not? If the government won't obey the Constitution why should we obey their made up laws? We'll be considered criminals anyhow.
A tape worm?
Well played!
