The Oregon shooter who killed nine and injured nine shot a woman in a wheelchair who had a service dog, a survivor of the horrific event, said.
The survivor, who wanted to remain anonymous, said the woman in the wheelchair got out of her chair and huddled on the ground with everyone else when Chris Harper-Mercer first pulled out his guns.
'She got off the chair, she went on the ground and then he told her to get back on the chair. And then she tried to climb back on the chair, and then he shot her,' the survivor, who was shot in the hand, told CNN.
Harper-Mercer prefaced his murderous rampage by handing an envelope to one boy, told him to stand in the corner and said 'you're the lucky one'.

Maybe I would surprise myself if put to the test — maybe I’d be a sheep. But at this moment I have to say I do not understand why most people seem to “follow orders” in these situations. Obviously, someone in a wheelchair gets a pass here; they don’t have a lot of options. But the army guy who charged him and got shot multiple times seems like the only one with brains or guts. Fighting back is the only hope you have if you don’t want to be gunned down like a dog.

I suspect the shooter’s BLACK mother is the purchaser of most, if not all, of the 13 or 14 guns.
The shooter’s mother will be facing a bunch of wrongful death lawsuits as she was fully aware that her son had mental illness.
I’ve been hearing that he ‘reloaded’.
Why did he live after that event?
Knowing that you were ‘next’ to be shot, why not jump him and make it worth something?

SHOCK: LA Times Labels Black Oregon Shooter as White Supremacist!!!

The Los Angeles Times has labeled the Oregon shooter as having “white supremacist leanings” even though the shooter was black. The shooter identified as “mixed race” and reportedly had a black mother. Quoting an alleged anonymous source in law enforcement, the paper wrote, “A federal law enforcement source familiar with the investigation said, though, that authorities had obtained some of Harper-Mercer’s writings, as well as a note he left behind, suggesting that he supported white-supremacist causes and opposed organized religion. He also liked to discuss military history, the official said.”
Regarding the race of the shooter and his motivations, the Daily Beast reported that the shooter admired the black Roanoke shooter who expressed racial motivations for his actions. They also wrote, “The father is Caucasian, Evans said, while Mercer’s mother, Laurel Harper, is black.”
The absurdity and apparent lack of an actual knowledgeable source in the LA Times article was first pointed out by Daniel Greenfield in FrontPage Magazine. He wrote:
According to the LA Times, Chris Harper Mercer, the Oregon killer, was a “White Supremacist”.
One slight problem. Mercer identified as multi-racial. His mother was black. He doesn’t seem to have even known his father. He identified with black TV killer Vester Lee Flanagan.
Though it is possible that someone resembling the Dave Chappelle character Clayton Bigsby, who was a blind black white supremacist, did exist, we can all agree that it is unlikely.

You are right that the group should have charge him, but not being violent people, being young also, they were hoping for a better outcome. Hindsight, especially when it can be assessed from afar, is 20/20.

For quite a while, people were told that in the event of a shooter, you should all gather in one room and hide. This strategy was found to be very inadequate. I believe most training now is: if you hear shots, everyone should run and scatter and get away in any way you can. And fight if you have to.
That's not bad advice.
But I'd like to see a little more emphasis on the fighting. As in: if you are in a room with the crazy guy with a gun, fighting should be a top priority. Waiting and hoping for a good outcome should not be a top priority.
But our current culture doesn't tell people that violence can lead to a good outcome. "Nothing was ever solved by violence". And so many people act like sheep rather than fight.
Many have forgotten the statement “Let's Roll” after the Muzzies hijacked that airplane. Problem is too many become hypnotized and fail to act. throwing books, chairs, purses, ANYTHING at the shooter would distract him/her enough so that others can jump on a would be assassin. It's up to those who become potential victims to make a conscious decision to survive at all costs, even under the threat of death. They just might get lucky.
IF these accounts are true that he ordered people one by one to crawl forward to be shot, why in God’s name did people not charge the bastard?
If you have enough courage to say you are a Christian and die, why not have enough to attack the killer and die for someone else?
Why die crawling and begging?
I know I have never been put to such a test; I know people freeze up. But you would think by now enough people would have rehearsed such a situation in their minds that they could act.

Not only did they lighten his skin, they narrowed his nose and lips.
The first shot is underexposed and may well make him appear darker than he was, but no excuse for guess/correcting that to make him luminous white.
Not saying the scum shooter was this good but a guy with a little practice can reload faster than you can believe. That is why mag capacity bans are a joke.

I think many of those who were shot were too young to remember “Let’s roll.” They were four or five years old in 2001.
Teach it. Never forget.
Practice it. I’d love to see schools bring in a self-defense trainer in a padded suit to gym class and teach the ten year olds how to attack en masse.
