Megan Kelly slams NY Times over hit piece on Melania Trump
Fox News ^ | 10/2/2015 | Kelly File

Posted on 10/02/2015 8:27:13 PM PDT by glabbe

Megan Kelly did a segment on Friday with Chris Stirewalt and Howard Kurtz where they blasted an article by the NY Time on Melania Trump. The consensus was that the article was condescending and would have never been done on a democrat. They also agreed that Melania had done nothing to deserve such treatment.

My defense of Kelly does not rest on sweetness of character but on the legitimacy of her political philosophy and her consistency in adhering to it.

If sweetness of character were a test, no one would vote for Donald Trump. Come to think of it, if consistency is a test no one will vote for Donald Trump either.

A foolish consistency is a hobgoblin of little minds.

What kind of “consistent” “political philosophy” does she demonstrate? Trump has been accused of being a clown. She has been a clown herself. To have a “political philosophy” at all — even one which has problems yet to resolve — requires one to actually think about political matters, which Trump does.

I defined it in the reply, did you actually read the reply?

Yes, I read your jargon of generalities.

Come on, be fair, this is what I said and it is hardly fairly characterized as "jargon of generalities":

Megan Kelly is obviously a feminist who would define that typically unfortunate characteristic as according females the right to their sexuality and the right to conduct their affairs free of snarkiness about their physical appearance or their sexual history.

It is Trump who is the hypocrite, it is Trump who is worse than the clown when he degrades women for their menstrual cycles and then lies about it.

If you really want to discuss where Trump is consistent, we are going to burn up a lot of bandwidth listing inconsistency after inconsistency. We don't even know which party Trump actually belongs to whether he is a Democrat because he was historically for years a Democrat, whether he is an independent because he was an independent, or whether he is now a Republican because he conveniently professes his newfound epiphany?

As to arguing that Trump is a consistent conservative, do you really want to go there?

My God man, now you want to debate jargon as well as consistency or charm? Trump can highly articulate a coherent English sentence.

If you want to debate whether Megan Kelly is a bigger clown than Trump I will be happy to do so on the facts but I warn you, that is a debate you cannot win even if you can win it because Megan ain't running for president.

At the end of the day you cannot elevate Trump by denigrating everybody else.

Naked pictures of Obama’s teenage mother posing for frank Marshall Davis didn’t slow down his candidacy, did they ?

We are done.

The Trump virus infects his followers and makes them incapable of arguing on the merits, they resort invariably to the ad hominem and gratuitously insult those who intrude facts into the debate.

First the victim is Megan Kelly and now I am the victim. There is simply no end to this discredited practice whether it comes from Trump or his defenders.

Go find someone else to play Trump clone to.

It is certainly better taste than our current resident of the White House has for decorating.

“It is the Trump supporters who are the hypocrites”

THAT is painting with a broad brush!

Might be an apology is needed?

It’s not a virus, it’s an elective affinity. He attracts followers who are like him. Stuck in the junior high stage of argument, where you respond to a substantive objection by making a fart noise with your armpit.

It seems that First Ladies are fair game these days. Regardless of which Republican wins next year I feel sorry for their spouse.

I have lost all respect for m.kelly ,,, it’s one thing not to want to support a particular candidate but her attack on Trump was uncalled for and vicious . Would she ever attack Rosie on her gay escapades or her adopted daughters denouncing Rosie as a mom . I’m with Trump ,,, when I’m attacked by someone I refuse to turn the other cheek . Geo Bush refuses to fight back and now it’s a pile on festival of attacks and lies with no defense offered . when this hap[pens some people believe there is merit in the lies .

Yes, indeed, but it is Megan Kelly who is entitled to the apology from these Trump supporters:

Yup. I was a Kelly fan until she pulled that crap on Trump at the debate. Now I wouldn't piss on her if she were on fire.

Excuse me, but is dear Megyn squeezing out a fart on the righthand shot, or what???"

The pose on the right looks like the lean you make when you pass gas. Just sayin'.

LOL! What? Don't you like the Queen of Smug?

That top right one looks like she is passing some gas. I guess this was before it came out her mouth.

This is just a back handed way of bringing attention to the article slamming Melania that most people would never have even heard about.

Or this was done to see her fans returning to her once successful show. That Mr T. was gracious enough to say Thanks to her ....that is Trump...but he’s already been bitten so he’ll continue to be aware of what she is...period.
