"Who among other candidates is most anti-liberal, is the most opposed to liberalism as part of his existence, policy and everything else? And there's one clear answer. Put your hand up if you know who it is. Ted Cruz. Ted Cruz is the answer to your question, Roberto. If you're looking for the Republican candidate who is the most steadfastly opposed to liberalism, whose agenda is oriented toward stopping it and thwarting it and defeating it, it is Ted Cruz."
“Cruz is unquestionanly the best the GOP has to offer.”
His impressive education, bigh-level legal practice and proven success winning office makes him stand out.
His reputation for not cooperating with the powers in Washington fit the “outsider” meme so popular now.
Did Rush stop hosting the Trump Show? I turned him off a month ago and happened to turn him on yesterday at the end of his program when he responded to this caller.
I think what you and some others on both sides aren’t getting is that both Cruz and Trump are doing good work for the conservative cause, and both should be commended for it. There’s no reason to be pitting one against the other at this point. The two of them get along famously. Let’s let them both continue doing what they’re doing. It’s working.
I was only try to say I have been around for a while and not a Johnny-come lately troll. I'm not trying to give ultimatums or Opuses. That is not my style. When I decide to move on I will. I have a concern about the direction of my chosen site and I'm expressing it. If expressing my concern about an individual that I don't feel is really furthering the cause is worthy of my shunning, so be it.
He’s my first choice.
It was a set-up question from a caller, "Roberto". Which Republican candidate is most opposed to Liberalism? Rush was way ahead of the guy and served it up on a platter for him.
If the answer comes as a surprise to someone, they have been living in a cave for a looooong time.
Yep. Same here.
I don't think so...Do Republicans really blindly follow Limbaugh around waiting for him to throw some crumbs???
This Presidential race is beyond conservatism and liberalism...That's just a distraction...
People have come awake...They have come alive...A conservative is not going to fix what's broken any more than a liberal at this juncture...Our immediate problem(s) transcends Party...We are at the edge of the precipice...We may not even make it til the next election...
I’m sorry but you are wrong. A conservative can and will fix this mess. A blowhard flip flopping billionaire will not.
Wake up!!!
The guy is the ultimate wolf in sheeps clothing. He says the “inflammatory” rhetoric that he does to appeal to a segment of the voter block which is otherwise being ignored. It’s a powerful strategy but one which leads to nothing but flapping in the winds of populism.
Having moral standards, having a belief structure, one which can be measured against is key to our Republic’s survival in the tremendous battle which lays before us.
I have to be able to trust in our next President whole heartedly and must be able to believe in what he/she is fighting for. Trump does none of this. He appeals to whatever he can to make himself palpable.
Do not fall for the same song and dance as many before... Stand up and put your support behind someone we can trust will lead us to victory. Stand up and put your support behind the most conservative candidate in the race. Stand up and put your support behind Ted Cruz.
Well I’m a relative newbie and I like what you say.
Cruz/ Jindal
Cruz / ?
Veep doesn’t necessarily need to be one of the candidates. But both Prez and Veep MUST be conservatives. Our next Prez will appoint at least one, possibly two, Supremes, as well as circuit judges. Cruz appointees are more likely to be conservatives who follow the law, as opposed to the activist occupiers we have now.
That, to me, must be the litmus test.
Trump appointees are more likely, IMO, to go whichever way the wind blows.
He reiterated his pro-H-1B-expansion stand this July: Cruz: Proud to Defend Trump, Expand H-1B Visas For Educated, Talented Job Creators - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3309118/posts
May you feel God's Love to allay your fear!
The "freedom" to lose my job to a Third World drone is one I can live without. It's not about "fear" but about wise and unwise choices.
Echo your comments. It's the single largest issue that I so vehemently disagree with Cruz on.
I work in the Financial Services industry and have been watching people being replaced by "cheaper" H1B's from India for over 10 years now. I personally know so many highly skilled, highly talented and creative people who've been replaced by H1B's.
Here's the thing: It takes MULTIPLE H1B's to replace an American IT worker. American IT folks are typically fairly broad based, meaning they have multiple IT skills that they use daily. H1B's that I've seen are "specialized" into one or two (max) "talents." That's why it takes so many H1B's to replace one American.
This is why I disagree with Cruz so vehemently on H1B's. He's as wrong as he can possibly be on this issue.
The situation we are having right now is not Ted Cruz's fault. He wants to turn this country around, not manage the decline.
As I mentioned to another FReeper who is in the same situation you are in. God is our ultimate employer. God is waiting for you to re-connect with him. He will guide you every step of the way. God is Love; there is no fear in Love.
The way to do that is not to let Americans lose their jobs to Third World drone serfs.
God is Love; there is no fear in Love.
It's not about "fear" but about wise and unwise choices.
The winds of populism are good...Reagan was a populist...That's how he won his election...It certainly wasn't because he was a conervative...
And what separates Cruz from the rest of the bunch in Washington in the eyes of the public??? His 'imflamatory' rhetoric...
I don't believe for a minute that Trump is a wolf in sheep's clothing...And obviously about 40% of the Republican voters don't either...
Having moral standards, having a belief structure, one which can be measured against is key to our Republics survival in the tremendous battle which lays before us.
And Trump isn't of satisfactory moral character??? We don't believe that either...
I have to be able to trust in our next President whole heartedly and must be able to believe in what he/she is fighting for. Trump does none of this. He appeals to whatever he can to make himself palpable.
I haven't ever trusted a President wholeheartedly...Still vote tho...
So what's worse, a candidate who says what you want to hear and will maybe or maybe not follow thru with those things; or a candidate who suppoorts things you flat out don't believe in and will be stuck with if he wins, even if he is called the most conservative???
Do not fall for the same song and dance as many before... Stand up and put your support behind someone we can trust will lead us to victory. Stand up and put your support behind the most conservative candidate in the race. Stand up and put your support behind Ted Cruz.
We aren't falling for anything...Hey, look at Syria...Trump wants to let 'em kill each other off and we'll deal with what's left...I've been saying that for years...(Course it's too late now with Russia in there)...But then Trump says let Russia kill them off...
Trump and at least I realize Syria and Israel are better off with Assad as their President...
Trump wants to send the 'refugees' back to wherever they came from...I've been saying that for years...Trump wants to get rid of illegal aliens and limit the H1B visas so our own can go to work...I've been saying that since Nafta was conceived...
Cruz can't even garner (so far) enough support to be a real contender in that other group of Republicans...
There are far more Democrat voters now than there ever were...I don't believe Cruz will pull in a single Democrat...And without that, he can't win...
