LOL yeah I was stationed in Europe during that era as well.... I’m retired EOD an the groups you mentioned were our primary bomb builder threat ..... PLO taught IRA how to flatten a electric blasting cap for use in letter bombs etc...

The IRA picture made me remember when my husband got into an argument with a guy over ISIS and Muslim terrorists in general. He kept reminding my husband that his (husbands) parents were from Northern Ireland so he must be a terrorist. My husband's grandparents were from Ireland, but that didn't matter the guy would constantly deflect to the IRA and that made my husband a terrorist. It would make since if he knew he was known to have Mujaheddin pictures he would try to change it to an IRA picture— I've heard that false equivalency argument before and it attempts to hide connections to Islam with “terrorist Catholics”.
