The IRA picture made me remember when my husband got into an argument with a guy over ISIS and Muslim terrorists in general. He kept reminding my husband that his (husbands) parents were from Northern Ireland so he must be a terrorist. My husband's grandparents were from Ireland, but that didn't matter the guy would constantly deflect to the IRA and that made my husband a terrorist. It would make since if he knew he was known to have Mujaheddin pictures he would try to change it to an IRA picture— I've heard that false equivalency argument before and it attempts to hide connections to Islam with “terrorist Catholics”.

One of my great great grandfathers and his brother were college students; Young Irelanders and had to flee the British secret police in the 1840s.

But I consider the modern IRA as utterly contemptible.

It’s like “Muslims killed 300 yesterday.” “Yeah, but the Christians killed thousands in the Crusades!”
