Russia and the U.S. have agreed to hold urgent military talks to ensure they do not end up 'in conflict' after Vladimir Putin launched airstrikes on Syria.
More than 20 Russian fighter jets launched an attack on three provinces in Syria yesterday, after the U.S. was given just one hours' notice to remove its planes and officials from the area.
The move increased tensions between the two countries, after concerns were raised that the airstrikes were only targeting anti-government rebels, many of whom are backed by the U.S.-led coalition, instead of ISIS-held areas. Syrian opposition chief Khaled Khoja said 36 civilians had been killed in the attacks, which also apparently targeted a CIA-vetted Syrian rebel group that was receiving U.S. missiles.
Last night, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry held a strained press conference alongside Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, with the pair confirming urgent 'de-confliction' talks will be held.

This is like some kind of damn nightmare.
Does anyone know, did China really send ships and troops to Syria? i dont know if the reports are reputable.
[were concerned obviously if that is not what is happening, Kerry said]
Ah, Russian aircraft could be shot down by missiles supplied by the USA.
What could possibly go wrong?
Anybody got plans handy for a cheap bomb shelter?
Crud. When memory gets low on the PC, the copy function doesn’t always work. I have to hit it multiple times.
[a CIA-vetted Syrian rebel group that was receiving U.S. missiles]
There. THAT’S what I meant to copy and paste.
Obama plans to help Russia ,China and Iran destroy Israel ?
Duck and cover.
Does anyone think for a minute that the Ruskies will subordinate their Air Component to our JFACC? (Read: Joint Force Air Component Commander) Good luck on this one. This issue could get real ugly real fast. Watch one of our AC get shot down and the Syrian Rebels (One of the five left that we trained of course) get the blame.
Or perhaps back Israel into a corner for a “peace plan” that includes an official UN-sanctioned Palestinian “state” - a “peace” agreement that lasts for, oh, say seven years, ostensibly.
How in Hades did these individuals ever rise to power...good grief, how incredibly embarrassing for the United States of America.
Such courageous warriors have died to make this country strong and respected worldwide to have these imbeciles mock their sacrifices.
Works pretty good against 35 million to 150 million degrees or so, LOL.
Well, not really LOL.
Oy
Good one, though. It’s about as useful as a home shelter would be in many cases.
[How in Hades]
Sometimes the answer is in the question.
We put idiots in charge of our safety.
I just heard some idiot expert on BBC Radio. He actually said that Assad is responsible for ISIS happening and then said he wasn’t sure if Russia were bombing ISIS because the Syrian Free Army said different.
What? The Syrian Free Army ARE ISIS and Obama is responsible for ISIS.
They know this, it’s pure propaganda what they say. They count on the fact that most people listening are ignorant of the facts.
They hate people like us, because we know the real deal, we’re not sheep.
Could it be only an hour’s notice was given to thwart the passage of that information from sympathizers in our gov’t to the media, who would have alerted the Syrians? /Conjecture, for now...
Russian diplomat: “how many times do we have to say it? If you don’t want conflict with us, get the he11 out of Syria.”
Gog and Magog, you don’t say?
idiots is too smart a word for these people
I would say the Obama-backed FSA are not as well-financed as the official ISIS but that both of them are after Assad and/or his assets.
It’s looking to me like Russia is going after the FSA but not ISIS yet - we’ll see when Russia starts bombing elsewhere.
Thanks, Obama - for making Egypt, Libya and Syria much, much worse.
'Russia gave Israel advance notice of its airstrikes in Syria'
What does that say about the Obama regime?
