I guess this confirms the the Twitter rumor of US SAR teams moving into Turkey shortly after the Russians started bombing is true.

Why are they deploying NOW?
We have supposedly been bombing in Syria for months.

To evacuate CIA and advisors from Syria?

Also, note how the Media is ignoring this.

THIS is what you are worried about, even now? Listen, I don’t think many people here care that there are prop-up trolls for Putin/Russia on the internet when we are discussing important developments of war against a serious threat to the WORLD. Oh right now it’s “just” in the Mideast and on Europe’s borders but it will spread here eventually and I for one am not going to sit here and play a game of Putin put-downs when the situation at hand is about way more than one political personality.

Yes Turkey will probably get their Caliphate in place and Iran the nukes, and they’ll go after Saudi Arabia and that will be the revived Ottoman empire with the destruction of the mystery Babylon for the End times. Euphrates already drying up to make way for the Kings from the East.

Wait d I have the proper timeline? I get confused over the 2 different biblical prophesied wars.

I can only hope that all the fools who celebrated this guy's election are totally embarrassed.

The fools who voted for him are the sort who never will acknowledge and are proud of their stupidity.

The new alliance is Russia, Iran, Hizbollah and maybe China. Each party doing their share to ensure that Syria wins the civil war and reconstitutes itself, or whatever is left to reconstitute.
Russia will, eventually (after obliterating Assad's opposition) pull back to it's main, new bases in Tartus, Latakia and the new inland bases being built at lightening speed.
Russian forces will be used, ground, air and naval. After that, they will let Hizbollah and special Iranian forces clean up the mess, side by side with the Syrian Army.
Syria will be a defacto Soviet, ooops, I mean Russian client state with Iran taking care of running most post war operations. The Russian do not want to spread themselves throughout all of Syria, Iran does.

Disagree -

Russia will want to operate in Syria, yes. But I doubt Russia will tolerate terrorism in their midst. Russia will be a stabilizing force in the area.

Radicals and terrorists will not want to draw too much attention. Russians will want their bases and surrounding areas to be safe for their non-muslim troops.

“Is there any politician of any stripe that says Islam is inherently evil?” - K

Good point.

I would say Carson is as close as we have come, with his statement that strict Islam is incompatible with the US Constitution, because of its oppressive and intolerant nature.

You think Russia will stop at that and be satisfied? What about Lebanon? What about Israel? What about the Hizbollah and Iran on Israel's borders - how stable is that?

Do you think Assad could govern in a tolerant and enlightened manner over a society of savages bent on head chopping and eating the organs of their ideological enemies?

Our form of government doesn’t work with a society of savages, IMO.

I do not think of Russia as the “evil empire” any longer.

Especially compared to ISIS. ISIS are evil savages without respect for human life and a complete disdain for the enlightened thinking of western society.

Assad is no different from the people he governs. The Syrians have never lived under a democratic form of government.

Well then, you need to pull your head out of your butt, wake the hell up, and learn a thing or two about the things they've been doing since the 'fall' of the Soviet Union.

Well - Thank you for your contribution to this civil discourse.

I contend the evil empire is Islam, not Russia. You would rather have ISIS, the most virulent part of that evil empire, grow unchecked.

And you call me a dumbass?

BOTH are evil and need be countered! I just pointed out to you SOME of the evil things Russia has done *after* the so-called 'demise' of the Soviet Union. Yet you STILL think they are the good guys??

Besides, according to reports, Russia isn't even going after ISIS now, but rather enemies of ISIS.

Russia says it’s bombing ISIS in Syria. It’s actually bombing their [ISIS's] enemies

by Zack Beauchamp
September 30, 2015

Russia began bombing targets in Syria on Wednesday. Russian President Vladimir Putin has framed his military intervention there as targeting terrorist groups, especially ISIS. And Russia said its strikes today were launched against ISIS.

Don’t believe it. The strikes reported this morning aren’t happening anywhere near ISIS territory and aren’t actually hitting ISIS positions, as a look at the following map from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) should make clear. In fact, Russia is bombing ISIS’s enemies in the Syrian opposition — which makes a lot more sense if you understand what Russia is really trying to accomplish.

According to ISW researcher Genevieve Casagrande, a Russian airstrike this morning appears to have hit Talbiseh, a town in the tan rebel-held swatch just north of Homs, in Syria’s west. You’ll note that this is nowhere near ISIS territory, marked in gray:

 MBkMdvD

“Talbiseh is home to Syrian al-Qaeda affiliate Jabhat al-Nusra, hardline Islamist Ahrar al-Sham, and a number of other local rebel groups,” Casagrande explains. These organizations are generally hostile to ISIS. “The airstrike,” she concludes, “did not hit ISIS militants.”

Michael Horowitz, a senior intelligence analyst at the Levantine Group, says that Russia bombed another town near Homs (Zaafarana) and one (Ltamenah) near the city of Hama, north of Homs. Again, as you can see on the map, none of these are near ISIS territory. According to Horowitz, all of the towns are held by non-ISIS groups.

“Russia targeted only groups that are not ISIS and it may have targeted groups backed by the US,” Horowitz told BuzzFeed’s Borzou Daragahi. “It’s really clear that the airstrikes were not meant to target ISIS.”

This shouldn’t be surprising. Russia is in Syria to prop up Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, Moscow’s ally. The main threat to Assad is not ISIS, which the Syrian leader has often tolerated, but rather Syria’s non-ISIS rebels — including al-Qaeda’s Syrian franchise as well as more moderate rebel groups. These rebel groups (along with the Kurds in Syria’s north) are also ISIS’s main enemies in Syria. ...”

Ha! So why then does Russia stand firmly behind the world's leading state sponsor of Islamic terrorism: Iran? Iran, a nation that has repeatedly threatened to wipe Israel off the map.

Trump: Iran Deal Requires U.S. Protecting Iran in Event of Israeli Strike

by Jacob Kornbluh
Sept 2, 2015

In a phone interview with CNN Tuesday evening, Trump claimed that there’s “something in the Iran deal” that “people don’t understand” saying if someone attacks Iran, “we have to come to their defense.”

“Does that include Israel?” Trump asked. “And most people say yes, they don’t have an exclusion for Israel. So if Israel attacks Iran, according to that deal, I believe, the way it reads, unless they have a codicil or they have something to it, that we have to fight with Iran against Israel.” ..."

Trump was most probably referring to language highlighted by the opponents of the deal. On page 142, the deal includes a clause that states, “Co-operation through training and workshops to strengthen Iran’s ability to protect against, and respond to nuclear security threats, including sabotage, as well as to enable effective and sustainable nuclear security and physical protection systems.”

Washington-based Center for Security Policy asserted that Annex III appears “to commit the United States and other world powers to the defense of Iran’s nuclear program.”

Russian build-up in Syria part of secret deal with Iran’s Quds Force leader

September 11, 2015
Jennifer Griffin, Lucas Tomlinson
FoxNews.com

As the Pentagon warily eyes a Russian military build-up in Syria, Western intelligence sources tell Fox News that the escalated Russian presence began just days after a secret Moscow meeting in late July between Iran’s Quds Force commander — their chief exporter of terror — and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Fox News has learned Quds head Qassem Soleimani and Putin discussed such a joint military plan for Syria at that meeting, an encounter first reported by Fox News in early August. ...”

The Quds Force is the international arm of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, involved in exporting terrorism to Iran’s proxies throughout the Middle East including Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen. ...”

Officials who have monitored the build-up say they’ve seen more than 1,000 Russian combatants — some of them from the same plainclothes Special Forces units who were sent to Crimea and Ukraine. Some of these Russian troops are logistical specialists and needed for security at the expanding Russian bases.

Yeah, he likes to call people names. For instance I must be just THAT dumb if I can’t see Putin’s evil intentions...guess I should get out my crystal ball. Also I must have a mental disorder since I can’t understand why I should hate Russia right now “<”
