Top donors are warning Jeb Bush: Shape up or we'll ship out as deposed front-runner continues to slide in presidential polls.
Replaced as the Republican presidential front-runner this summer and now steadily sliding in the polls, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is being lectured by his top donors that he must reverse his ebbing momentum or they will desert his bid for the presidency.
The warnings from Bush's top supporters come in the midst of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's exit from the race and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio's rise in the polls.
Ironically, it also comes just as Bush and his political action committee are about to release nearly $8 million in TV ads in critical early states, his campaign tells DailyMail.com.
Bush was the clear front-runner in the race until this summer, when billionaire Donald Trump barged into the field and started to rocket to the top of poll after poll. Trump still leads the field.
Making his first-ever campaign on a national stage, Bush has struggled to overcome GOP primary voters' apparent distaste for establishment candidates in favor of outsiders - a trend evident in Trump's rise to the top as well as the ouster of House Speaker John Boehner by hard-right conservatives.
But he has also suffered from his inexperience with the intense media scrutiny that comes with national campaigns, as he has been forced to walk back and clarify several misstatements that have been amplified in the media.

Schadenfreude foe the poor rinos.
That's because he pubically stated he could win the primary nomination without the conservative base.
$hapeshifter$ Jeb, the marionette on money strings.
HOORAY Trump
And he campaigns in Spanish in New Hampshire, South Carolina and Iowa.
He’s done already, fork and all. Proved himself to be slow and dimwitted and proved that Trump was a good judge of character.
The problem with Jeb is not his “message”.
It also has nothing to do with his boring, supercilious personality.
“That’s because he publically stated he could win the primary nomination without the conservative base. “
Exactly, the stupidest thing he could have said. I thank him for his honesty though. He can go home now.
Late last night I found a poll, MC was the name of the poll, that claimed 82% of Republicans want to vote for Trump!
Maybe I misread and it is really 32%; but I am very certain that Jeb Bush doesn’t stand a chance.
What’s the matter ¡Yeb!? Campaigning in a foreign language to foreigners who can’t vote (legally) not working out for you?
The citizens want the illegal alien inundation stopped and you work for The Cheap Labor Express. One of their other candidates who hasn’t been as honest may stand a better chance of fooling people. That’s the hope of The Cheap Labor Express, anyway.
That and he has loyalties to Mexico and Mexicans rather that America.
And shoves it in our faces while chiding us for not being more loving to these invaders.
I would oppose him on principle even if he wasn’t on the outs with anti-establishment voters.
I do not want another Bush. It isn’t seemly.
Oh I would too....I oppose him A: because he's a Bush and conservatives do not go for royal family rule - and B: I oppose him because he's the quintessential establishment hack.
If it were just A, and he was conservative, I'd oppose him in the primary but vote for him in the general. Since it's ALSO B - I don't think I can do that.
It was only the media that made him the “front runner” in the first place.
The cartoon ends here:
The latest statements I've heard from senor el Jebbo, would fit nicely with the democratic socialist platform. Perhaps he should run as a dem.
“... deposed front-runner ...”
Whew that is some spinning right there now.
That is kinda like Lyndseed Grahmhole was running in top tier until Bush got in the race.
