Russia support Assad who stirred this up, if Ivan wants to protect a 12% ruling minority, they can.
But Putin has already announced Assad is ready to share power and possibly leave eventually.

You mean like Saddam Hussein did Obama? I think the number was 350,000 People Murdered by him and his Sons.
Obama, the first President I have learned to Hate in my 62 Years of Life. I would never think that was possible, but Life is full or surprises in todays America.
If Assad falls in Syria, the West (and Russia) will probably support a Strongman to take his place.

Of course, if the Iranian theocratists do the same to its post-election protesters, it is an internal affair. If Israeli IDF accidentally kill a protester or two in the middle of a riot, or a few assailants while boarding a ship bent on breaking a blockade, it is not only an affair involving the entire international community, but the Israelis are guilty regardless of the evidence or even without gathering any evidence.
But OK. Go bomb Assad for Isis, and start a shooting war with Russia into the bargain. At least you can still posture on your high horse.
