He says families making lower incomes would pay no taxes that’s fine, no problem with that. What I’d like to know is will they get a big check from the government, even though they’ve paid no taxes (by using EIC, etc..)

Giving folks money on tax day, when they paid no taxes, just seems wrong on so many levels.

The Trump campaign estimates that would reduce taxes to zero for 31 million households that currently pay at least some income tax.

Just what we need. More people with no skin in the game voting themselves more and more "free stuff" and voting higher and higher taxes onto the "rich" (anyone who makes more money than they do) to pay for it all.

He wants to tax overseas profits at 10 percent, an incentive to do business in the USA.

Who is expecting perfection from Trump? Not many and he’s a flawed candidate...BUT—— can Trump bring improvement to the nation and with proven competence? He will be far better than the recent drecks we’ve had. He’s gonna have to kick the butts in DC elite-land along with our help. They are no good selfish obstacles in the way.

I was doing taxes before and after the 1986 Act brought about by Reagan, which dramatically changed the tax code. The change was basically lower the rate by eliminating tax deductions.

This Trump proposal is essentially an outline of the Reagan tax changes done in 1986 which appear to also lower the rates by eliminating tax deductions.

If it worked for Reagan it should work for Trump.

Today, 36% of American households today pay no income taxes, and that number would grow to 50%.

Less people with skin in the game. I thought conservatives wanted everyone to pay at least a little so they felt more ownership when the government wastes their money.

Sounds like it is still a progressive TAX and the IRS is still in control.

No thanks

FoxNews.com is treating Trump unfairly. Both CNN and MSNBC .com haave the Trump tax plan as a main story. FoxNews.com has nothing.

This will raise Mitt’s “47 percent” to 50-55 percent.

Seems to cut taxes at the top and bottom, and keep them the same at the middle.

This is kabookie theater like Herman Cain’s 9-9-9.
But the less informed doesn’t care that it has no chance with congress being the body to legislate tax reform - not the president. Way too much money lining pockets with current tax code.

Good or bad, I take these campaign ideas as nothing to even consider.
