You sure wouldn’t know it from the Boner presser yesterday. That’s all the media squawked about.

A woman would give Republicans a leg up on the minority in powerful positions campaign. Would we dare to take the lead on that?

I know Pelosi was speaker but we never really talked about the nightmare of her making President. Since it’s a possibility, we should look at it more closely.

The entire leadership needs to be removed from power, especially McCarthy.

“There is going to be a race for Speaker of the House, Breitbart News has learned, and current House Majority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) will not be a shoo-in to replace outgoing Speaker Rep. John Boehner (R-OH”

Yeh, right.

Louie would be awesome!

There’d be no point to Boohoo resigning if McCarthy just continues the liberal agenda. And as far as McCarthy giving concessions, forget that game. He won’t change his stripes. He backed Boohoo all the way, so he’s shown he can’t be trusted. All like him should be honest and switch to Democrat.

The fact of the matter is that if the Conservative wing of Congress had bolted and voted for Nancy Pelosi for Speaker instead of Boehner, I would bet they would have gotten a lot more “concessions” out of Pelosi than they ever got out of Boehner.

They got nothing from Boehner at all. Nothing. Obama got everything.

They think that we don't know that McCarthy = Boehner.

3 things in politics: Money, People, the brains to know what to do with them.

Both RINOs and conservatives have been most deficient in the 3d asset. They don’t know how to frame the issue. They don’t know how to market the issue. They don’t know how to close the deal. They don’t know how to LEAD.

They mostly play a defense where they have the same formation on every play. They telegraph to the other side what they will and won’t do. The other side can then have its way with the Rs.

Right on the issues is important. But LEADERSHIP ability is also needed.

Well, Daniel Webster has the advantage of owning a historic American name. An earlier Daniel Webster was the 14th and 19th U.S. Secretary of State. A member of the Whig Party (1833-1852).
Daniel Webster was also a distant relative of Noah Webster, who, in 1828, helped to publish one of the first comprehensive dictionaries in American English.

Reagan and Bush 1 made about 40 vetoes per term.

Obama has only made FOUR VETOES in his entire presidency!

If that doesn’t tell you we have impotent GOP leadership, I don’t know what does.

It will take 30+ votes in the first round to make sure McCarthy is NEVER speaker... Ever... That is doable as long as the CONSERVATIVE house members make that vote...

ALL and I mean EACH AND EVERY person in the current “leadership” needs to resign gracefully or be replaced forcefully... Keeping ANY of them is simply not an option!

The HOR needs to conducts it’s business INDEPENDENT of the Executive Branch. I didn’t send my Rep there so he could elect a Speaker who would play golf with and visit the President at the WH. The next speaker needs to do the peoples business...

Conservatives don’t want a token “seat at the table”... We want to set the agenda and priorities and make sure that the Executive Branch executes it... Otherwise, I’m fine with COMPLETE & TOTAL DC GRIDLOCK...

“Boohoo”. Aint it a shame that we all know exactly who you mean just by that description; The Least Unhonorable but Most Verklempt Boohoo Boehner! I wonder how many Jack Daniels it took John to work up enough courage to stop this charade?

Need a Southerner, as our current woes come from the long list of moderate Northerners like Romney, Ryan, Boehner, etc.

Sorry, Illinois, but that is just not conservative enough, and either is Kentucky.

That is key

McConnell is next

Nuclear option on legislation

That liar McConnell said he would do that if Reid went nuclear on judicial appointments when he got the power, then made pretend he never said it when the GOP took the Senate

Treacherous old senile bastard,STILL HASN’T CHANGED THE RULE TO REQUIRE A SIMPLE MAJORITY TO PASS A BILL.

STRING HIM UP!!!!!

PASS SOME GODAMMED LEGISLATION AND MAKE THAT BLUE LIPPED KENYAN HOMOSEXUAL COMMUNIST IN THE WHITE HOUSE START USING THE VETO PEN.

Some nuggets from the article:

"Breitbart News has also confirmed from House Freedom Caucus member Rep. John Fleming (R-LA)82% , that conservatives in Congress plan to bloc-vote together to ensure that candidates they do not approve do not get the Speakership. "

"Fleming said if regular order were followed—especially when it comes to spending bills, and whether the government is funded by Continuing Resolutions or omnibus spending bills or by the way it’s supposed to be done via 12 separate Appropriations bills—it would be a lot easier for Congress to re-assert its power of the purse against the executive branch.

“Absolutely—no question about it,” Fleming said when asked if it’s easier to defund things like Obamacare or Planned Parenthood or executive amnesty when regular order is followed. “In fact, we have already completely wiped out Title X funding in our appropriations which would include Planned Parenthood. Appropriations as you know are not going any place—they’re not being taken up by the Senate. Well, why not? We control the Senate. They say well we have the filibuster rule. Well, do away with the filibuster rule. We need to shake things up and get government working once again.
