Hygiene isn't Halal
Immigration is all about diversity and cultural enrichment. And this Muslim eatery enriched the UK with a new strain of Ecoli that sent customers to the hospital because handwashing was Haram.
A teenage girl almost died and more than 140 others were taken severely ill after contracting a E.coli in a filthy takeaway where staff did not wash their hands after going to the toilet.
142 customers who ate at the Khyber Pass in Hyson Green, Nottingham, suffered with nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea after the outbreak last June, and a 13-year-old girl was left so ill that she spent four nights in hospital.
Had her infection not been treated, it could have been fatal, medics said.
Amjad Bhatti and Mohammed Basit, owners of the Khyber Pass, in Gregory Boulevard, pleaded guilty to seven food hygiene offences and were sentenced today at Nottingham Crown Court.
Prosecuting, Bernard Thorogood said this was only the second recorded case of that particular strain of E.coli in Europe.
He said: "Its only known reservoir is the human gut.
"You realise the way it was transmitted was by use of incorrect hand washing after using the lavatory to defecate.
"A cough can't do it, a handshake could if it's an infected hand which means it was not washed after using the lavatory."
Khyber Pass proved nearly as deadly for the English this time around as its original namesake.
Mr Wesolowski said his condition was also life-threatening.
"The nurse said I nearly died. I lost loads of water. It felt like my body was 50 stone, because I felt so heavy, like the weight of a car."
The machine operator suffered stomach pains, chronic diarrhoea and vomiting after eating a chicken kebab with salad and chips from the takeaway on June 25 last year.
Now obviously Afghanistan and Pakistan are not exactly known for their cleanliness. But there might be a whole other problem here.
A customer was refused a wet wipe in a halal-only branch of KFC because they are soaked in alcohol and might offend Muslim diners.
Graham Noakes, 41, said he was astonished when staff at the fast food chains outlet in St Georges retail park refused to give him a hand-wipe because it was against its Halal policy.
Hygiene isn't Halal.
I would never eat their crap because I would never enter one of their litter box establishments.
More diversity for YOU! Eat your take out!
A restaurant called The Khyber Pass.
Words fail me.
I was in the hospital with E-coli. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. (Well, probably Islamists.)
Bleeding, shaking, and felt like I was in labor, again. Horrible.
Maybe the NHS should perform its civic and public duties and require the Muslim restaurants to public post signs warning potential patrons that “Eating in this establishment may kill you providing the Muslim heathen don’t kill you first”!
“Mohammud’s Revenge”
Idiots...the "alcohol" in such products is not ethanol.
I am so sorry. :( We just lost a local teacher to it. It is such a horrific ‘bug’.
Hugs to you. So sorry for your loss.
“Eat your peas...”
Such cultural icons they are, the source of humankind’s genius.
Now we have Somali kiddies eating from the serving spoons in buffet pans. Avoid buffets, FRiends. Seriously.
“Poppi’s a little sloppy.”
Sorry, I misread. (no glasses). Yes, it seems to attack the kidneys. Had a friend who went on a cruise and contracted it. Went into kidney failure.
Dyslexic mooselimb mixed up right hand from left.
Not only is hand washing not Halal, but don’t forget that neither is toilet paper to them!!!
Yes, they use a bowl of water to wipe their left hand after wiping their butts. And they share that bowl of water.
Want to pi$$ off an Arab? Put your left hand on their shoulder.
Put your right hand on his shoulder while holding a .45 ACP against his head.
When asked by the authorities why they (the staff) didn’t wash their hands after going to the toilet, they collectively said “What’s a toilet”?
To #11. Are your sure the restaurant’s slogan isn’t “Pee in your eats”?
Muslims don’t use toilet paper, they use their left hands. When I worked in Egypt for a couple of years I noticed in the back streets there was a brown stain about 3 foot up on the walls from a the Arabs wiping off their hands after using the alleys as a public toilet.
