For those watching Janet Yellen's speech this evening, the fact that she seemed to struggle towards the end of her speech was a surprise. Now we know why...
**FED'S YELLEN GETTING MEDICAL ATTENTION AFTER SPEECH -REUTERS It is hardly surprising given that she now carries the weight of the world's economic and market strength on her shoulders.
As MarketWatch's Greg Robb noted, Yellen faltered at end of her speech. Last page was agonizing. I don't think she felt well but she seemed better when she left the stage.
Bloomberg reports, Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen is resuming her planned schedule after feeling unwell toward the end of a speech she was giving Thursday at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Fed spokeswoman Michelle Smith said in an e-mailed statement.

That’s what I thought, too. She was about to collapse from the “positive job growth” nonsense (paraphrased) in the discourse. With the standard “if we get surprised” at the end.
That or the entire audience was totally incoherent or stupid.
It was obvious that she was in trouble. That none of them came to her aid is telling. The only concern that was shown was at the very end.

I fear the nation’s fate is sealed, economically. That usually means war of some sort. Worrisome, to say the least.
Nonetheless, I try to help friends prep before then and for me. But with no finances there is little I can do myself. Should have a little cash coming but not a big amount.
I would never have believed it in the 1990’s. Many are still under the normalcy bias (oh, sure things are a little tougher) but they haven’t felt the full impact of this thing. I know there are other FReepers who took the hard hit, because they’ve told me so, over the years, usually in FReepmail.
