Rep. Vern Buchanan (R., Fla.) is demanding that the decorated Green Beret who blew the whistle on U.S.-allied Afghan forces raping boys be reinstated by the Army immediately.
Buchanan labeled war hero Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martlands dismissal from the force a national disgrace. Martland stood up for an Afghan rape victim in 2011.
Driving Sgt. Martland out of the Army is a national disgrace, Buchanan said in a statement. He stood up for American values and should be commended, not punished.
This week, reports surfaced that U.S. soldiers and Marines have been instructed to ignore suspicions of Afghan forces raping boys. While Martland appealed his dismissal from the Army, he was rejected this week. He will be discharged at the start of November.
Buchanan called on the Army Board for Correction of Military Records to reverse its decision and reinstate Martland. Otherwise, he demanded that either Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey or President Obama take action.
The only people who should be punished and discharged from the service are the ones who created and condoned the immoral practice of ignoring child rape on a U.S. military base, Buchanan said.
Earlier this week, the Republican congressman also demanded the House and Senate Armed Services Committees launch investigations into the alleged policy that discourages troops from reporting sexual abuse of boys at the hand of Afghan forces.

Amen!
I also told my son not to join the military.
As I look at the killed lists of our soldiers in the past 7 years I see good conservative men killed. IMHO all good conservatives need to leave the military now. We need them at home.
It is a total disgrace that happened to this soldier and his superiors who pressed this should be the ones disgraced and discharged. What is wrong with us?

A new round of contempt-of-court hearings began Thursday in Phoenix against the sheriff in the nations sixth-largest city over his defiance of a judges order to stop carrying out his signature immigration patrols.
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, whose immigration crackdowns turned him into a national political figure, listened intently as his second-in-command testified about emails involving the agencys violation of a key court order in the racial profiling case.
The order demanding the office stop the patrols was ignored for 18 months.
Arpaio could face fines as a result of the hearings and could later be called into criminal court on the same grounds. He is expected to testify Tuesday or Wednesday.

God Bless America ...
These days, leave out the “B”.
The powers that be are not merely turning and blind eye to this heinous activity, they're facilitating it.
And moreover, they are commanding their subordinates to be complicit by demanding their silence on the matter.
Thank Gad for men like Sgt. Hartland.
“We need them at home.”
I agree. But what is there for them to return home to?
0bama has ensured they have NO JOBS to come home to. He’ll also ensure that they’ll be tagged with PTSD so he can confiscate their weapons!
And I thought it was bad when Clinton was messing with the Military back in the day! We lost a LOT of excellent junior Officers and senior Enlisted during that time frame.
I was a witness to that and processed a LOT of discharges of good people that couldn’t stand what Clinton was doing to us back THEN!
I’m going to go see what the current re-enlistment percentages are...it can’t possibly be good.
If it makes you feel any better, my son shot and killed several of Saddam’s fedeyeen terrorists who used women and children as human shields.
Couldn’t get all of them because they were ordered not to shoot back because of the civilians being used as shields.
When he did shoot, didn’t miss, except for the one sniper he was dueling with using his M249, at several hundred yards. An M-1 tank came along and blew up the building the sniper was in, sending him sky-high. My son was pissed. He wanted to kill the bastard.
Guess you can’t get them all but he tried.
House Republicans should hold open hearings and subpoena every Army officer and civilian involved in this travesty.
Let them defend their actions in public.
The Obama Army is now being lead by pansies and PC cowards. Nothing like the real men I met in Vietnam. Fighters, not PC fairies.
Someone needs to tell the military that if this guy is not reinstated with back pay, that the first act on January 21, 2017 is to fire the people responsible and reinstate the Sgt and promote him to General.
Cruz, Rubio, Paul, Trump.... Anyone?
Just thought it needed repeating.
Cruz? Rubio? Paul? Trump? Anyone?
Pride in MY Army which I served for 7 years, 5 on active duty and one combat tour in Nam is headed for the crapper.Where once those who wore the Army uniform were looked upon with pride and respect is now rapidly turning into just another corrupt government agency. I am MORE than pissed!! Obama is not the only one to blame for this.
Active Duty ping.
We won’t be hearing about this beyond these outrages. That’s for sure.
Raping Boys?
Obama’s new DOD chief probably has interesting views and experience on the subject of pederasty
Indeed, for honorable people now to serve an amoral political, bureaucratic leftist government machine would be stupid. They would be ground up and spit out.
Raping boys and goats are a part of thier peaceful religion, just like mutilating young girls, beating and abusing females, honor killing thier own female children and the PC leftist crowd rejoices “we are for freedom of religion”
BUMP
Once the Left have complete control of the military, the Draft will return.
