Donald Trump, the front-runner in the Republican primary run for the White House and one of the most massive media draws of the political season announced on Twitter Wednesday hes not doing any more Fox News interviews because hes been badly treated by the cable hosts.
Fox News has been treating me very unfairly & I have therefore decided that I wont be doing any more Fox shows for the foreseeable future, he wrote on his Twitter account.
Within two hours of posting, the message received more than 4,500 favorites, and more than 2,300 re-tweets.

So one evening he doesn't get the glowing coverage Greta normally treats him too and he feels the need to rage tweet and cry about boycotts (which will never last and everyone knows it). Trump, the thin skinned crybaby - this is what you get when you've been surrounded by "yes men" all your adult life and don't know how to handle even the slightest bit of criticism.
“Fox News will have a harder time maintaining its ratings if Donald Trump not only boycotts the network but also designates another network for his supporters to turn to.
But that hasnt happened yet. Will it ever happen?”
May I suggest MSNBC? Perhaps it will be more to your liking?
Tell me....I only see one proven Conservative running in the primaries. Just whom do you consider a Conservative...Bush? Rubio? Kasich?
Honestly, I don't see your belief being accurate...with the way the media has attacked him and the Washington elite's out and out hatred, where's the personal gain?
“If Trump thinks the other alphabet soup networks wont treat him just as badly in the general election, hes crazy. Theyre only helping him now because they want to piss off the GOP establishment. When hes up against a Dem instead of other Republicans, he isnt going to have any network treating him well except MAYBE Fox.”
If (and I hope to god he doesn’t) Trump gets the nomination the way ALL the other networks will cover him will make FOX seem positively part of the Trump campaign team. And all you FOX haters will have nowhere to go but FreeRepublic.
“Not last night. I think that was the last straw for Trump because she had been fair to him up until last night.”
‘Fair’ being asking him non challenging questions. He (and his supporters) like only softball questions
Well that leaves Hannity. But Trump's still in the lead, been in the lead forever, that means the top shows, and for FOX, that's O'Reilly. Bill has made an effort to be fair, so I'm thinking Bill has gotten marching orders.
It's gotta sting to hear a huge crowd at a Trump rally boo your product at ear-splitting decibels.
Best part is FOX reporting an uptick in Trumps numbers in the same report that he is boycotting them.
Then there's that...
Problem is Fox is saying they cancelled the interview on him, which puts them totally in the wrong as journalists who should interview any public figure regardless of their opinion about Fox.
Trump is wrong to spin it differently if it’s true, because Fox cancelling makes them look like the immature and unprofessional ones instead of him.
People get canceled all the time, even presidential candidates. There is nothing unusual or abnormal about it - at least for most people. Trump may not be used to such things in his role as billionaire businessman and realityTV star, which may be why it irked him so much. Trump is going to have to realize that he is one of 15 or so candidates and his star power is only going to get him special treatment in a presidential race for so long.
Fox would NEVER cancel an interview with Obama or Hillary. This is totally unprofessional and biased of them.
Too far-fetched. This feud isn’t going to last a year into the general election. And most primary voters are not going to be anti-Fox except a very small sliver of the hard-right. The general voters will have long forgotten anything that happened during the primary if Trump is back on Fox by then.
My attitude towards fox has done a full 180.
That's because Fox News would rarely ever have a chance to get Hillary or Obama. Those would be big "gets" for them. Trump is on constantly, and is one of around 15 GOP candidates - which means he/they are no longer big "gets" and are subject to cancellation. It may not seem nice or fair, but such is the news business. People get canceled all the time.
My guess is O'Reilly really canceled him because they've grown tired of "the Donald's" rage tweets and childish insults directed at fellow Fox hosts. If he keeps up the crybaby and insult routine, he might even lose Greta and Hannity - two hosts who have given him glowing coverage throughout his campaign.
If you think he is going to get "nicer" coverage on CNN or MSNBC for very long you are kidding yourself. If Fox News has finally had enough of Trump and simply ignores him, Trump's campaign would take a major hit. My guess is he is smart enough to know that and we will have yet another detente between the two sides - probably culminating in a big Trump interview with Megyn Kelly herself.
Agree. Trump can withstand not being on Fox News for a few days/weeks and Fox News will continue to be the ratings king as none of the other networks are even close to challenging them. There are just not enough devoted Trump fans to keep CNN and MSNBC tuned in for periodic Trump appearances - almost no one on the right can stand those networks for more than 10 minutes at a time. In the end I'd bet Trump will even end up on Megyn's show.
Megyn will not have her own show for long—
Bears Repeating.
Trump’s sensationalism and tabloid-style politics is sucking the oxygen out of the Republican primary race, stealing time away from people such as Cruz, Carson or Fiorina.
Trump isn’t in for the Presidency, he’s in it for Trump.
The article said the Fox higher-ups cancelled him, not O’Reilly. They want any excuse to keep him off the air and they used his tweets as that excuse. Fox suffers absolutely no significant negative impact from his tweets. If they did, they wouldn’t have cancelled him, because that will only encourage more mean tweets. They are run by the GOPe donor class and simply took this opportunity to stop giving Trump free publicity because they think they can blame him for it. They are willing to suffer moderate bad publicity and reduced ratings in order to help shill for a corporate-welfare-friendly, amnesty-friendly RINO.
