Hmm. Are you saying you prefer someone who says and does new things and changes his opinions to make money?
I prefer someone who was conservative before running for the Republican nomination.
AMEN!!
Money still came from the taxpayers regardless of whether its a loan or the government comes in and runs it.
We’re not dealing with private sector money here. Either way, the public has the right to dictate what the banks do to get solvent because that’s their money.
They paid for it here.
They dont care because the gope is never going to let anyone but their toady liberal in conservative clothing get the nomination. It is more of a , if we are going to have a liberal, than let us pick the liberal and we will give you a pain in the ass to boot

“..he postured correctly for the situation he was confronted with”
And he’s posturing correctly (for himself) with his current situation. He’ll posture correctly (for himself) when something else comes up. That’s how he made his billions.
Trump is a businessman who depends on government, mostly state and local, to do business. Supporting a newly elected President isn't exactly news. No doubt Trump will say he had such high hopes for Obama and is now disappointed in his performance.
If you don’t like where Trump stands on the issues today, feel free to vote for someone else you like.
And what do you really care what he did in 2009, when it should be added in all fairness, he was NOT running for public office?
I wasnt fooled but in 2009 I was praying for the best. Wasted prayers that’s for sure.
Someone is having an orgasm about what Trump said in April 2009? Desperation
“That generous statement by Trump “
On one hand Uniparty members (eGOP and Democrats) claim Trump isn’t presidential and doesn’t know good politics and how to smooth things over, yet, when he does, they claim he isn’t presidential by calling a spade a spade.
Uniparty members are hypocrites....another word for liar.
Oh, no. I repudiate that observation, with absolute disdain. Everybody knew everything about Obama that there was to know, just as every German with half a brain knew everything about Hitler. There was no way in flaming hell that any thinking person could have mistaken him for anything other than what he was. Stop trying to rationalize; you're only making yourself look foolish.
What’s ironic is the biggest Trump bashers seem to be Cruzers. You know, the guy who purposes a massive increase in H-1B visas and insanely supported Obama’s TPA until the eve of the second vote on it. Those awful positions are a heck of a lot more recent and relevent than whatever Trump said 5 years ago.
Trump IS the GOPe.
Accurate description.
As I recall, the mood on here was viscerally anti-McCain.
Remember, he said we had nothing to fear from Obama.
The American people took him at his word. Its hard to fault Trump for thinking the same at the time.
And what’s changed about the GOP since then?
Thought he was a monster then and know he is one now.
I know it won’t. I’m just doing an experiment for my own purposes. When Fiorina’s comments about Hillery from 2008 were posted on here, she was universally condemned. I took the same title of that article, replaced some names, and Trump is being universally defended. It’s more proof that the Trump phenomenon is not about reality.
When Donald Trump passes gas his supporters hear a symphony.
It was meant to expose tragic irony.

Fiorina worked for the McCain campaign.
Trump didn’t. You’re comparing apples to oranges.
