This one too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iuj7VMB48o
“Well, I really like him. I think that hes working very hard. Hes trying to rebuild our reputation throughout the world. I mean, we really have lost a lot of reputation in the world.”
...and Trump joins at least 75% of the country (including most Republican leaders) in wishing our new president well, just after the election.
“The previous administration was a total disaster, a total catastrophe.”
Anyone care to dispute that?
“And, you know, the world looks at us differently than they used to. And I think hes trying to restore our reputation within the world. And he was handed a pretty bad deck of cards. I mean, he was given a pretty tough situation.”
Again, 75% of the country agreed at the time. Bush STUPIDLY thought he could turn Iraq into a Jeffersonian Democracy by sending in a few thousand voting booths. We got ISIS instead.
“And Im not saying I agree with everything hes doing.”
Good enough for this Trump supporter (and just about all the every other Trump supporter).
“I do agree with what theyre doing with the banks. Whether they fund them or nationalize them, it doesnt matter, but you have to keep the banks going.”
He’s a goddam builder in New York City, of course he needs the banking system to stay alive.
“Beyond that, Im not so sure I agree with it, because I I am worried, ultimately, about inflation. If you take this much money and keep pouring it into the economy, I worry about whats going to happen in two years with respect to not only interest rates, but inflation.” “
So far he’s wrong, but long-term he will be proven right.
Bottom line - not much here. Obama at that time was not president, the campaign never dealt with issues, NO ONE, except a few people here, believed he was a flaming Socialist. So find me ANYTHING like this from Trump from a year or more after Obama had been in office and then I might listen.
The taxpayers were going to take it up the chin one way or the other. How the banks were going to be recapitalized is a matter of quibbling over the details.
Besides, much of the legwork was already by the outgoing Bush Administration when the financial crisis hit full stride.
The government was never going to allow the banks to go under.
Here’s Ted Cruz jumping in the sack with Paul Amnesty Ryan a few MONTHS ago to lower Constitutional hurdles and enable secret Obama “trade” deals:

So he can personally identify with millions of disappointed obama voters. How is that going to hurt.
Really? I guess that means you were fooled by Obama in 2009 as well. Hard for me to relate, I was onto the guy in 2002 or whenever it was he ran against Alan Keyes - and 2004 at the DNC with the speech. I guess some people are fooled easier than others.
More like Hello Trump! This will help get the moderate Dems, the independents and the black vote. And let’s face it, with Bush, the GOP was no different than the Dems (as we are still seeing). And McCain was no barn burner.
Trump has all of the bases covered. Pure genius!
I tell you it was the scariest thing Ive ever seen! My legs are still shaking! Trump may be 'impossible to take down'. I think he could even hug 0bama on the NJ tarmac and it wouldn't make a difference to his FANatics!
LOL, what a silly and baseless article! This was when ozero was in the first months of his 1st term and no one could possibly be aware of the disaster he was to be for America.
So Trump has “evolved’ and the only people who should have fingers pointed at tyhem are the morons who after watching the WH moron for almost 7 yrs have NOT turned on him.
“He says all the right things, NOW, but I have no confidence he will remain conservative after the election.”
That is the way of politicians. It is just that Trump is saying what the other politicians refuse to say, and has been saying a lot of it for many years.
If you want to judge someone by their enemies, then this is a front row seat into who he is. If he is so liberal, why do the liberal anti-Americans hate him?
That generous statement by Trump might get him an extra five million votes in the general election!
Obama on balance has done more harm than good for the country.
If you want to bash Trump, go ahead but you’ll also have to bash the do-nothing GOP Congress.
If not, you’re a hypocrite.
Trump has his flaws and dings in the armour. Who else can win it for us conservatives in the lineup? Ted Cruz would be our first choice but Trump can bring home the bacon-—reality is what it is. So go Trump.
obama did fool a good number of respectable, intelligent conservatives who, although they never thought for a moment that he held conservative values, nevertheless acknowledged he was elected fairly and would serve honorably as America's president. They were of course proven wrong -- quickly and in so many ways -- that they had to have been embarrassed and humbled by their naievete ... by their ill-founded emotional hopefulness which was smashed completely within a week of obama's presidency.
Can you imagine the horror -- the sheer and total disgust with themselves -- these good people must have felt when they realized just how wrong they were about this "enemy within" who was now the president. YIKES!!!
I believe Trump and Cruz are a tag team. I think Cruz will be his VP for one term, then Trump will go back to his life and endorse Cruz.
You and I have greatly different ideas about nationalizing private business. Loans are far different from taking away ownership of business and the government claiming it forever.
People who are looking for the ideal politician, the perfect human being, won’t find him.
Every politician has some positions we won’t like. The question is whether the politician’s positions I do agree with reflects my values.
Trump is conservative on immigration and on the RKBA. If you don’t like that, you’re free to support another candidate.
It seemed to matter to al lot of people when it was Fiorina praising Hillery in 2008.

It doesn’t matter how often evidence of Trump’s liberalism slips out. Most of his supporters don’t care and will deliberately ignore it.
Of course not. Thas RAY-cess.
Right... it is the gop in dc. Who are directly responsible for trump. If they would have rejeected jessica lynch, which in itself would have been mostly symbolic, trump might not be the man. They cant even do that
