Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's dramatic fall from the very top of the 2016 Republican primary field was due, in part, to a series of painful verbal stumbles along the way. Here are the top seven gaffes that helped sink Walker fast.

This is a completely dishonest article but it reflects the opinion of the MSM and the Washington establishment.
Most of the "gaffes" were not "gaffes". The were dishonest questions and answers dishonestly reported to make Walker look bad.
None of these were a problem.

Politico is not a respectable source.
It's just an
"ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICANS" LAP DOG.
Walker "LOST IT" at his SELL OUT the AMNESTY HOGS.
Scott Walker, is PROVED to be TALKING OUT OF BOTHS SIDES OF THE ISSUE (
you CAN NOT TRUST him ! ).
Watch the videos and READ the article from
HOT AIR, most certainly not on your list of band-sources.
... Two points. One: He says hes not for amnesty, his citizenship stance notwithstanding, but thats not a new soundbite for Walker.
Amnesty means many things to many people;to the Gang of Eight, for instance, the fact that illegals would be forced to meet certain requirements (paying back taxes, etc) before qualifying for citizenship meant that their plan wasnt amnesty.
Walkers been insisting for more than a year that he doesnt support amnesty eithereven though he does support citizenship and liberalizing the rules for legal immigration.
Two: Hes quick to tell Raddatz that hell lay out his own immigration plan eventually if he becomes a candidate, which is his way of saying dont ask me anything too specific right now.
Listening to him here, you would think he didnt have firm opinions on immigrationyet beyond some basic principles like secure the border.
But thats not so.
Watch him field a question on immigration from 2013 in the second clip below and note what he says about border security at around 1:30.
For Walker, securing the border is less a matter of building a fence or hiring 10,000 new Border Patrol agents than it is about RELAXING THE RULES for legal admission to the U.S.
His view seems to be

Yes, there was a lot of BS in that article
“Refused to say if Obama loved America”
This is perhaps the stupidest, most asinine raised in the article. Walker politely said “Obama can speak for himself.” Amazing how the MSM expects Republicans to attest to Obama’s bona fides. Even more amazing how some Republicans do so.

The Washington establishment is out to destroy any pol who is not one of “them”. They have gobs of corrupt skeletons in their closets which can not be allowed to be revealed at all costs. Their gravy train must not be stopped. They will throw everything they can at Trump or any other candidate that doesn't conform to the establishment.
Those that are attacked by them deserve a look from us. We can tell who our enemies are by who they are threatened by.

Scott Walker, really didn’t come across as a dynamic kind of guy until he declared that we should disband govt unions. He should have started the campaign on that note. Instead he was cautious, like the rest of the field, except Trump.
Trump is the man. I’d like to see Walker and the others in a Trump administration, then in 4 years or 8 years, they can take the baton.
Call it their apprenticeship..

YES. I kept saying that Walker played "smallball" because he didn't articulate a vision of how his state-level policies would reverse liberalism on a national scale. Just as Trump did amnesty, Walker should have gone on an anti-union jihad, but not as an "anti-worker" thing so much as a slush fund/money laundering operation for the Dem Party. But the other pitfall of that strategy is that it's easy to get tied up in the education debate.
Sorry, but I think education on the national stage is a loser. Even if you say you want to get rid of teachers' unions, you almost have to balance that with "requiring student testing" which gets into "no child left behind" crap. I think it's a no win.
It's also not what Walker said as in "misspeaking" as it was in doubling down, like Trump and Carson have done.

Walker got a call from Reince Pribus and was told to get out now so they could execute their plan to take down Trump. And in return we’ll make sure you’re fully funded to keep running for office in Wisconsin forever.

700 “gaffes” by Donald Trump and he’s in the lead. Not enough “gaffes” maybe?

What “doomed” Scott Walker was Donald Trump who carried mostly the same issues but articulated them in a way that appealed to more people.
That’s all.

There is a possibility that Walker may resign as Governor of our state, possibly after the ‘16 elections.

Don't be an idiot with your graphic. Obama stole the Forward motto from Wisconsin. It's on our State seal and Flag, fgs.

Well, just don’t blame Walker. In fact Walker was using Forward on T shirts and campaign materials a full year before Obama picked it up.
