Interesting. How do you think this plays out? There are those within conservative ranks (like me) who would never cast a vote for Trump were he the nominee. (I also would not cast a vote for Bush because I am up to here with milquetoast establishment Republicans.)

I don’t think I’m alone in being mortified that Trump could become the nominee. We all know that he’s not married to conservatism. We also know that he changes his point of view (a.k.a., flip flops) on a regular basis. So what would make any voter think he will be true to his word if elected president? Haven’t we just witnessed a president who said what needed to be said to get elected and then turned everything on its head once in office? A good president must be a good leader, but he must also be a servant of the people. Does Trump have a servant’s heart? Are there really those who think Trump is good for his word? In resolving problems, how faithful is he to the constitution?

Trump has no real reason to run. I truly believe he is running because he loves the America that most love. He could just go home and sit back and not worry for the rest of his life.

The reason I believe him is that he would not make a deal with the people unless he was willing to honor the deal.

I know he brags, I know he ain't perfect, I know he could be more articulate. I also know that he really likes the people and he would like people to have success. At rallies, people are so pumped and ready to bring America back. I get that from nobody else. They are more like we have to accept the way things are.

I do not give a rats ask if Trump is a conservative or not. What I know he isn’t is a republican office holder of any type. I have been lied to by the republican leadership the last 4 elections. Conservatives gave them both houses and what do they do, they aid the socialists in passing their agenda.

In fact, Bush isn’t even a moderate republican, there is maybe 1 conservative in the race.

It won’t matter much longer, I think it’s already to late.

I wish he would do just that -- go home and do all the things that make him a successful businessman and let those who are more suited to serve the people run for office. (For the record to anyone reading here, I'm not talking about GOPe candidates. I'm great with the outsider movement. I do, however, require a certain temperament and maturity before considering an outsider, an insider or anyone in between. As an aside, I'm hugely in favor of term limits and citizen legislators. I am NOT the RINO I've so often been accused of.)

The reason I believe him is that he would not make a deal with the people unless he was willing to honor the deal.

Do you think the deals he'd make with the people would be based on constitutionally sound principles? And do you trust him not to flip-flop once in office?

I know he brags, I know he ain't perfect, I know he could be more articulate. I also know that he really likes the people and he would like people to have success. At rallies, people are so pumped and ready to bring America back. I get that from nobody else. They are more like we have to accept the way things are.

I know you are sincere when you write this, and that's what scares me. To me it reads: Trump is the best we can do. He's giving us candy and cake. We're going to settle for with him.

I remember how scared I was after Obama was reelected. The realization that that such a large a portion of the American people could cast a vote for someone who had been so dishonest and manipulative in his first term hit me upside the head like a 2x4. I had naïve faith in the American people. I have that same sinking feeling now, only the questionable judgment is coming from our side of the aisle. I'm not saying that Trump is like Obama. The comparison I'm making is the people who are believing the things their itching ears want to hear, not to mention the almost messiah-like characteristics their respective supporters have attributed to both candidates.

Anyway, nice to be able to have a civil exchange. Apologies if I've hurt your feelings. As often as I'm vilified here these days, I know it's not fun. I resorted to the less civil as a defensive mechanism. Again, I apologize.

Trump's "toadies"?

That's me!

However, beneath my ugly toadie exterior is a beautiful, enchanting princess.

But don't kiss me to make the transformation. I don't need any more warts.

If you want a forum where everyone has the screen names "Shirley Temple" and "Elsie Dinsmore", then this ain't the place for you and your delicate feelings.

Man up!

“There’s are ways to watch Fox on the internet. No need to pay cable or dish.”

How. If you don’t want to say publicly, send a private reply. I’d like to know how.

"Buzz off".

Aw, you could have done better than "buzz off".

Since I'm a "Trump toadie", it would have been much more sophisticated to post "I hope you croak !"

Epic fail !

just an example. Many sites provide live feeds and streams.

Do a search for Fox News live feed, you’ll find a bunch.

I really believe we are down to our last leg. Look at Europe and what is happening there. I do not believe that any of our “leaders” care about us, they all have a place to go in mind.

I do not think Trump is a God, not do I have Trump worship.

I believe he came up at the right time and we have a last chance.

Anyone taking money from the donors is not on our side. They may be good people, but they sold out to get elected.

The difficulty for all of us is that we have to decide who we believe. I made my decision, I could be wrong, I accept that, I do not believe the people who promised me what I voted for and turned around and stabbed me in the back. These people have to go.

Now we have the chance to smash the stranglehold on the GOP by the current crooks and liars. It may never come again.

Anyway, you are a top notch person. Thanks for the discussion.

I have to say I am surprised at how liberal she’s been going on the show lately. I remember those early days of her savaging Obamacare and Gruber almost every night. Now she’s picking up on all the MSM memes like Fiorina being a good candidate “because she’s a woman,” the arrest of the Muslim bomb clock kid being outrageous and Trump and Carson’s skepticism of Muslim presidents being a problem. Her show has been sounding like an MSNBC production recently.

And some of her RINO regulars like Stirewall are more sickening to the stomach than Karl Rove, Kraut and Goldberg on O’Reilly. I understand why Trump went on his anti-Fox rant last night because Kelly has become unbearable this past week.

“I watch Varney’s show on Fox Business in the morning; and, I watch Special Report with Bret Baer, for my general news, in the late afternoon. I find Hannity repetitive.”

I watch Hannity but he is like watching reruns without watching reruns. Repetitive is an understatement, bless his soul. I watch Lou Dobbs on Fox Business News and he is very pro-Trump. Fox & Friends has too many lite weight topics of late, and it just doesn’t play during a political season, so even though it’s the enemy, I generally watch Morning Joe now on PMSNBC as it’s almost all politics all the time. They have Pubs on as well as all the Dem politicians, and because Joe Scarborough is allegedly a Pub, they aren’t totally lacking in objectivity.

I still watch Greta because Trump still goes on or calls into her show. I watch Cavuto because he has a great sense of humor and talks both business and politics and the intersection between them. Varney’s show and Charles Payne’s show on FBN are good business/politics combos too, although more emphasis on business.

Kelly is now the enemy during the political season. BOR I still watch, heaven knows why, but I do. He has some good guests and swings conservative in thought more often than not, although when he goes “bad” he goes really bad. Well, I think I’ve covered most bases.

Oh, The Five, they’ve ruined the show. Geraldo blew up against Eric Bolling again yesterday. He can’t control the Latin half of his temperament. I can’t stand Dana Perino. Gutfeld gets on my nerves now, trying to be too clever by half. And I can’t stand Juan Williams on any program.
