Scott Walker Exits, Then Sides With Elite to Jab Upbeat Trump’s ‘Negative Campaign’
Breitbart ^ | September 21, 2015 | by Neil Munro

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker used his sooner-than-expected exit speech to spout the anti-Trump, populist-hating narrative now being pushed by the establishment’s entwined GOP, Democratic, Wall Street, and media wings.

Establishment interests are trying to scare middle-class voters by painting a dark, depressing, and negative image over the optimistic and enthusiastic crowds now powering Donald Trump’s upbeat “Make American Great Again” campaign. clip Those donors can shift their funds to Gov. Jeb Bush and abandon the unimportant players, including Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) 47% of South Carolina, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, and former New York Gov. George Pataki. More importantly, the donors can quit popular upstart candidates, such as Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) 93% , and Gov. Mike Huckabee.

“I encourage other Republican presidential candidates to consider [exiting] so that the voters can focus on a limited number of candidates who can offer a positive, conservative alternative to the current frontrunner,” said Walker, who was recently expected to get major financial support from donors allied to the Koch brothers’ low-tax, low-regulation coalition.

Walker’s negative rhetoric supports the Democrats’ negative strategy against Trump. For example, Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton claimed Sept. 18 that she was “appalled” at Trump’s decision to ignore a questioner’s claim that President Barack Obama is a Muslim. Trump should “start behaving like a president,” said Clinton, whose campaign is beset by legal and political crises.

That frontrunner is the bête noire of the establishment, Donald Trump, whose populist pitch stole away nearly all of Walker’s voters.

Two months ago, Walker was leading the GOP race because he was successfully straddling the GOP’s populist and establishment wings. But populist Trump, Ben Carson, and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 96% have won most of the GOP’s populist vote, and Walker could not compete

I had counted Walker as someone I would consider voting for. I am impressed by his accomplishments in Wisconsin but I did worry because every now and then you would get a whiff of the stench of the GOP on him. I guess my gut was right.

Walker is siding with me, too, and I’m not a member of the elite. I’m an ordinary outside-the-beltway conservative. Trump is a RINO and a CINO.

There is the establishment and then there is NYC rich. Trump is totally NYC rich. Being NYC rich does not make one automatically a member of the ruling class. However being a self made NYC super rich is a pretty good indication of lots of “street smarts”. New York City is pretty much it’s own world.

When FDR appointed Joseph Kennedy Sr. to be the first head of the SEC, he said, “it takes a thief to catch a thief.”
I guess thee same logic might apply to DT. It takes someone from the establishment to take on the establishment.

If so, I hope he has an avenging grudge against them.

So it’s not the Permanent Political Class Establishment that brothers you; it’s class envy.

Got it.

I wouldn’t count on it.

DT is an establishment guy who talks like a populist.

He is not a conservative, although he sounds like one now because he is trying to secure the GOP nomination.

DT is every bit as establishment as the Rockefellers, and richer than most of them.

He writes big checks to both parties, including Pelousy, Reid, and the Clintons.

He has flip flopped on every issue imaginable. He has done jack diddly squat for the conservative movement over the years.

DT may be a lot of things to a lot of different people. One thing he is not is a reliable conservative. His egomania, narcissism, and campaign platitudes remind me of the current occupant of the WH.

All I am saying, if you hate the establishment, wealthy powerful plutocrats-—which I don’t-—Trump is an unusual leader for such a movement. It would be difficult to find someone more establishment than DT.

‘Rich’ is not even remotely what conservatives mean by Establishment. We are talking about the McConnell, Boehner, Uniparty D.C. Cartel stranglehold on political power. Trump is their worst nightmare, hence their nonstop efforts to destroy him.

This will not please the resident atheist, Christian-Jew hating and self-proclaimed “conservative troll” George Will at all. His wifey will be out of work until Little Jebbie can pick her up on his campaign. Look for Will’s head to explode in rage after Walker dropping out.

Should Trump become president, he quickly learn that you have to work with Congress in order to get anything accomplished. McConnell will still be around and most likely Boehner. Trump will have to work with them. If the Dems take back Congress, nothing will get done, unless it is all liberal policy. I’ve seen this rodeo before. I live in CA. A wealthy, powerful actor named Arnold campaigned as an outsider with no ties to the establishment. Once he got in he was quickly coopted. Seen this movie before.

All they had to do was follow the law and secure the border and they wouldn’t have lost their party. Oh well.

Can you keep your story straight? Is Trump right now the very essence/embodiment of the Establishment, as you said, or will he have to work with the Establishment if he’s elected?

“Huckabee ... has significant Christian GOP support”

Maybe once, but I don’t see that much now. He’s been dining out on his short run as a preacher for a long time. Evangelicals aren’t buying it any more.

So according to you, Trump right now is the McConnell, Boehner, Uniparty D.C. Cartel stranglehold on political power.

You’re incoherent.

Mrs. Trump does speak English well. She speaks four languages fluently — maybe even five. And Jeb’s goblin spouse doesn’t have enough respect for America to learn the English language after decades of taking advantage of our country.
