Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker used his sooner-than-expected exit speech to spout the anti-Trump, populist-hating narrative now being pushed by the establishments entwined GOP, Democratic, Wall Street, and media wings.
Establishment interests are trying to scare middle-class voters by painting a dark, depressing, and negative image over the optimistic and enthusiastic crowds now powering Donald Trumps upbeat Make American Great Again campaign. clip Those donors can shift their funds to Gov. Jeb Bush and abandon the unimportant players, including Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) 47% of South Carolina, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, and former New York Gov. George Pataki. More importantly, the donors can quit popular upstart candidates, such as Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) 93% , and Gov. Mike Huckabee.
I encourage other Republican presidential candidates to consider [exiting] so that the voters can focus on a limited number of candidates who can offer a positive, conservative alternative to the current frontrunner, said Walker, who was recently expected to get major financial support from donors allied to the Koch brothers low-tax, low-regulation coalition.
Walkers negative rhetoric supports the Democrats negative strategy against Trump. For example, Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton claimed Sept. 18 that she was appalled at Trumps decision to ignore a questioners claim that President Barack Obama is a Muslim. Trump should start behaving like a president, said Clinton, whose campaign is beset by legal and political crises.
That frontrunner is the bête noire of the establishment, Donald Trump, whose populist pitch stole away nearly all of Walkers voters.
Two months ago, Walker was leading the GOP race because he was successfully straddling the GOPs populist and establishment wings. But populist Trump, Ben Carson, and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 96% have won most of the GOPs populist vote, and Walker could not compete

I hope Huckabee goes out since he has significant Christian GOP support that belongs to someone like say Ted Cruz.
Huck has no chance and is polling 6% about the same as Pothead Paul.
DT is populist, not a conservative.
That is a concern among many.
Including those of us who are not part of the establishment.
DT, btw IS the establishment IMHO.
If Walker is going to back Bush, I feel really sorry for Bush....Trump will shread him to little pieces in front of the whole world, and the Bush Clan will be helpless, as will Walker....
I can see that Walker was a dead horse at the end, but to maintain your reputation for later years of politics to run again someday, don’t stab yourself in the back...
The low runners should leave, and decide who they are going to support, but don’t try to tear or pick away at Trump, he won’t take it and he will erase you....he will hand you your head on a platter, and the next time you try to run for something, that will come back to haunt you...go out gracefully, come back again on a sunny day...
Time for Bobbi Who, George Who, and Linda Who, to exit stage right.
Jebba the Hutt the Tip Toe dancer, your 15 minutes of attention are up. And bye the way, America wants a first lady who can speak fluent English. How is it your wife is here about 30 years and cannot speak English as well as the young Mrs. Trump who has been here a lot less time.
It will be telling to see to whom Scott throws his support.
Agitprop.. Walker sided with NO ONE..
Trump being a left of center “conservative”.. has some people confused..
Trump is some times a LEFTY, some times a RIGHTY.. but never in the Center..
you know............. a CONSERVATIVE...
Walker proved my initial suspicions about him with his exit speech peppered with Cheap Labor Express talking points.
The Cheap Labor Express is determined we will not be allowed to elect anyone who would enforce the laws or secure the border.
He is polling 1 percent with a 4 percent margin of error?
What support is that?
What about that pledge they made Donald Trump sign?
Guess Walker doesn’t feel compelled to honor it
This is as low as you can go!
.....Hateful!
One last thought: Walker's timing is good. Word is he just avoided getting tied to a very bad story that could well have been coming.

Because she doesn't have to.
He might be, but if so, he is too clever by half. He has tapped into a huge amount of anger that may get out of control and force him to run with what he is saying.
At this point, I am SO pist at the Establishment that as long as Trump is running, I will vote for him.
Nobody else, at this point, has the traction. Besides, his message appears to have stiffened some other political spines.
I encourage other Republican presidential candidates to consider [exiting] so that the voters can focus on a limited number of candidates who can offer a positive, conservative alternative to the current frontrunner, said Walker.
Translation: Let us support someone who 1) will be supportive of the current program in DC or 2) can’t win against the Democrats.
While Trump may be good for the country he will be a nightmare for DC.
Except that Jeb is one of the “unimportant” candidates who should drop out.
When FDR appointed Joseph Kennedy Sr. to be the first head of the SEC, he said, “it takes a thief to catch a thief.”
I guess thee same logic might apply to DT. It takes someone from the establishment to take on the establishment.
Walker’s observation is correct in my opinion.
Donald Trump could be a Ronald Reagan type if he were not so grumpy and insulting. RR never ad any of those characteristics.
I have said this before and I will repeat it. I want to like DT, but cannot get past his rather ugly persona. He is a narcissist, and we have put up with one for 7 years already in the WH. In fact, the Clintons are similar in that respect. GWB had at least a sense of decorum and love of country without all the preening and insulting rhetoric - along with his shortcomings - which were primarily trying to be nice to people who insulted him. That was not good.
So, is Donald trying to be the anti-GWB? He ought to be imitating RR and being anti-Obama and anti-liberal. It is obvious DT does not like Obama and this administration. That’s good! So he ought to concentrate on that aspect and get over all the insulting and boorish habits. If he does not, it will not matter how good he talks, he will not be able to overcome the distasteful impression which turns lots of people off.
The hell with Scott Walker.
I wonder what Foghorn Leghorn would have to say about Governor Walker.
