Republican presidential hopeful Jeb Bush on Monday praised the contribution of Hispanics to the U.S. economy and set himself apart from his GOP rivals by coming out in favor of immigration reform that includes a path to citizenship.
Heres what I believe. I believe we need immigration reform. Ive been clear about this. I believe that DREAM Act kids should have a path to citizenship, the former Florida governor told pro-immigration reform protesters who interrupted him during his address before the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce conference in Houston.
Ill continue to be consistently for it irrespective of what the political ramifications of that are, Bush said.
Dreamers are those young people who were brought to the United States illegally by their parents at an early age and lack documents to normalize their immigration status.
Bush acknowledged that this vision apparently is somewhat out of the mainstream temporarily in my party, but it isnt, really. A great majority of Republicans believe in immigration reform.

Praise the attributes and contributions of one ethnic group to the point of ceding the sovereignty of multiple other groups to ILLEGALS who one day he will, as President, present them with citizenship SOLELY because they will be able to cast a vote.
If this isn’t being a traitor to one’s country, I do not know what else is.
This man is your enemy America.
Everything that’s wrong with the GOPe.
Bush is a self-referential mobius-loop caricature of himself.
Good for him, maybe he will rise in the polls because he agrees with the new media darling Carly Fiorina who supports it also,as well as Obama’s stimulus program,Sonia Sotomayor as a supreme court justice, she loves Islam, the Dream act,if you close your eyes you would think it’s Hillary
D Trump's response, though not only sounding harxh but IS harsh is in fact, the only logical way to deal with the illegal situation
Everybody (I.D.d and caught) must get out and come back in under supervision, law, rule and regulation .. kids, cats, dogs, whatever
Just because Trump wants to hammer down on illegals in our country doesn't necessarily mean 8 people are separated and shipped off to different foster homes in Mexico (which is the picture they try to paint)
There can be no privilege that results from criminal behavior, period.
Can someone with good Photoshop skills make a “jebnesty!” logo?
Immigration ‘reform’ starts with demonstrating the ability to enforce existing immigration laws. If we had enforced existing laws, these children - who are victims of the actions of their parents who ignored existing immigration law - would not have been put into this very unfortunate situation. My heart goes out to them, but part of what Jeb and others should be doing is putting the screws to the Mexican government for creating a situation in their own country that doesn't allow for their own children to have a ‘path to success and prosperity’ within the nation of their heritage and birth.
As someone who speak Spanish fluently, and via his wife has strong connections to the culture, and as someone with a powerful family background and political connections, Jeb could be spending his time trying to influence politics in Mexico. They (the Mexican government) might not like this, but it's no different than their attempts to influence policy here.
I’m so sick of “reformers” saying “of course strengthening the border is the first step to reform” when what they really mean is “of course we will open the border wider than ever”.
Everyone must remember this; Rubio stabbed every Floridian in the back when he agreed to co-author the Gang of Eight immigration reform bill with Chuckie Schumer, not to mention in league with John McCain, Jeff Flake and Lindsey Graham.
How many times did he promise that nothing would be presented until the border security issue was resolved, followed by no amnesty whatsoever. This started early in his campaign only to give it up once in DC.
RUBIO LIED TO US FROM HIS HEART!
Jeb Bush is such a catastrophe on so many points. This is just one of them.
We have to stop illegal aliens - PUNTO.
The nomination of Jeb Bush, in the unlikely event that it occurs, would signal open revolt in the Republican Party and unquestionably lead to the election of a Democrat. That is because immigration is the key issue in this election, virtually the only issue for conservatives, and Jeb Bush's latest position statement on immigration is utterly intolerable because it signals the end of conservatism in America.
There is no possibility of staying Republican if he is the nominee. I believe I am not just speaking for myself but for vast numbers of conservatives.
As I have stated in a companion thread, the establishment might get away with holding the party together if they nominate Marco Rubio but Jeb Bush is a red flag to conservatives.
Jeb Bush, the Obamas third term.
You like being overrun with wetbacks vote Bush.
You don’t like your healthcare tough sh$t vote Bush.
You want the continuous march to socialism to continue
unabated vote Bush.
“The nomination of Jeb Bush, in the unlikely event that it occurs, would signal open revolt in the Republican Party and unquestionably lead to the election of a Democrat.”
That’s the goal. That is what he is there for. How else
could he be there? He’s a post turtle, nothing outstanding,
no real achievements as governor. Nothing that really stands
out as a conservative accomplishment. He’s a dullard and
an unimaginative fool and yet he’s there and still in the game.
We’d be better off with both houses of congress and Sanders
than having a Bush anywhere in Washington.
these children - who are victims of the actions of their parents who ignored existing immigration law - would not have been put into this very unfortunate situation.

How about the illegal guy who progressed through law school and passed the Bar? I think it was the judicials in CA that gave him permission to practice law... as an illegal alien... in the State. ....This ass shows up on almost every TV shot of protests by illegals and has been interviewed on cable news programs. ....He’s an illegal alien!
¡Yeb! wants to be el Presidente of North Mexico.
He’s The Cheap Labor Express candidate.
If you like your country flooded with illegal aliens, he’s your guy
Rubberio is ¡Yeb!’s understudy, he is equally poisonous
