The man in charge of former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum's presidential campaign says Donald Trump's status as the Republican front-runner is built on the theft his opponents' strengths. John Brabender, who acted as Santorum's senior strategist during his 2012 White House bid and currently manages the Pennsylvania senator's presidential campaign, joined a host of top campaign staffers Monday at an event co-hosted by National Review Online and Google. Trump ranks first in the Washington Examiner's presidential power rankings and Santorum is fifteenth. After addressing Santorum's bottom-tier status, Brabender was asked to discuss Trump's monumental impact on the GOP field.
"Trump has stolen something from almost every candidate who has hurt him and helped himself," he told moderator and National Review editor Rich Lowry. The veteran campaign staffer offered up an example, describing Trump's blunt messaging and unapologetic demeanor as a successful variation of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's "tell it like it is" slogan. Similarly, some immigration experts previously accused Trump of stealing Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's spotlight as a leading hardliner on immigration, leaving Walker scrambling to regain his position as a GOP favorite before deciding to withdraw from the race Monday. Santorum has yet to make it onto the stage for a primetime Republican debate this election cycle. He has polled at less than 1 percent for most of the summer, according to polling data from RealClearPolitics.

The GOP-e plan was to use all of those vanity candidates, each with their 1%-2% qualifying trait, to split the conservative votes so thinly and diversely that Jeb Bush could waltz to the nomination with less than 10% support (just like Romney did).
Commie bastages, one and all.
I think it was the weak, GOP, and what obama has been allowed to do, that set the climate for this election and stole the level playing field they are used to.
The state of this country, after 7+ years of allowing obams to do whatever he wanted to do, has brought the people to a rage that only Trump has tapped into. The others could have... still could... but they don’t. They either don’t see the need, or they just don’t have the guts to stand up to the media and to the GOP establishment. (Dr Carson and Cruz being still in the gutsy camp.)
All hell comes down on the person who stands against them.. and most have ended up apologizing for any attempt to go against the elite club in Washington. The Donald does not back down. That is what the PEOPLE want!!
And the other candidates see it as futile effort to try to run against The Donald. They can’t seem to get the backbone to do what Trump is doing. Here we have Dr Carson getting too close to the top.. and they (media) turn their attacks on him. They want their candidate.. They want their control... they are not finished with this election yet.
The survival of the fittest... or the one with the fight in the belly.
HOORAY Trump
The other POS politicians have stolen the future from us, our children and grandchildren.
ESAD, SCUMBAGS
Trump has heroically absorbed all of the attacks from the left, leaving the remaining candidates unscathed from their malice. It’s not his fault that in doing so he has earned the respect of the American people. It may not even have been his intention.
Or, short rounds.
Lol...and he drank their milkshake, too!
Rick Perry dropped out and whined about Trump. Sour grapes. Today Scott Walker dropped out and whined about Trump. Sour grapes. Rick Santorum sends his surrogate out to whine about Trump. Sour grapes.
I don't want a president who spends their whole campaign whining about the leader of the pack. These people are not leaders. They're wannabes. Trump may not be perfect like the Leftist media, GOP establishment and beltway politicians lecture us all the time. But at least he's leading, and that is the whole point.
He was recently at Brook Shaw’s Old Country Store in Jackson, Tennessee.
Awesome.
The Old Country Store I mean. Not Santorum.

Then he should be doing the truly important and unique calling of ‘Dad’ for his sick daughter, and not leaving it all to his wife while he makes another and even more absurd vanity run for an office he will never hold. When the little girl passes, he still won’t be President and there will be no more opportunities to be dad.
Sore Loser.
Hard to steal what the GOPe does not have.
“Its either Trump or Cruz or a sacrificial lamb RINO to lose to Hillary Clinton.”
Right there is this whole election cycle. I’d vote for either Trump or Cruz, but Cruz isn’t toting the freight right now, and I don’t see that changing.
He will never get the support of PA. voters. He is nothing but a Professional Politician who runs all over the Nation doing nothing...His poor wife is home with seven kids...
He is a lawyer, but I don't know who or what Firm he is involved with, or any for that matter...
I look for him to also soon drop out...as will Pataki (his ship sailed a long time ago), Bobby Jindel, Graham, even Kasick needs to leave..something strange with his leaving the US Senate and the Gary Condit, sex story, he is never questioned about that...I also believe OHIO voters are tired of him...these are ALL professional politicians and I'm sick and tired of their bull sh**...enough already...
LET”S Roll. with Donald and see if we can't get real change..and make America Great Again.
He even went back to the last primary and stole Newt’s attacking the moderators.
Trump also admitted he stole the “make America great again” line from an old Reagan speech.
And he stole the “silent majority” phrase from Nixon.
Heh.... you were right. Ever since you tuned me into that I can’t help but notice it every time I see her.
What I just read tells me that Trump actually pays attention and then uses what he learns in order to be a success. The author seems to have a problem with it but I don’t - it displays common sense intelligence.
