Top Santorum aide: Trump has 'stolen something' from every candidate
Washington Examiner ^ | 9/21/2015 | Gabby Morrongiello

The man in charge of former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum's presidential campaign says Donald Trump's status as the Republican front-runner is built on the theft his opponents' strengths. John Brabender, who acted as Santorum's senior strategist during his 2012 White House bid and currently manages the Pennsylvania senator's presidential campaign, joined a host of top campaign staffers Monday at an event co-hosted by National Review Online and Google. Trump ranks first in the Washington Examiner's presidential power rankings and Santorum is fifteenth. After addressing Santorum's bottom-tier status, Brabender was asked to discuss Trump's monumental impact on the GOP field.

"Trump has stolen something from almost every candidate who has hurt him and helped himself," he told moderator and National Review editor Rich Lowry. The veteran campaign staffer offered up an example, describing Trump's blunt messaging and unapologetic demeanor as a successful variation of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's "tell it like it is" slogan. Similarly, some immigration experts previously accused Trump of stealing Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's spotlight as a leading hardliner on immigration, leaving Walker scrambling to regain his position as a GOP favorite before deciding to withdraw from the race Monday. Santorum has yet to make it onto the stage for a primetime Republican debate this election cycle. He has polled at less than 1 percent for most of the summer, according to polling data from RealClearPolitics.

So let me see if I understand this. Trump is bad because he has stolen the other candidates “strengths.”

So they're saying that Trump is sapping and impurifying their precious bodily fluids?

“I have to add that I saw Charles Krautstammer tonight on O’ Reilly. He is a butt boy for Karl Rove and the GOPe.”

He always has been. Trump is putting him into pre-psychotic breakdown. LOL!

Problem is, the other ones really had no strengths or they would be at the top.

Ya’ know, there for a day or two, after Cruz and Santorum refused to pile on when Trump was being badmouthed for the Rat plant’s remarks at his Thursday rally, it looked like both Cruz and Santorum might be headed to slots in a Trump Administration.

Now we’re down to Cruz. Brabender’s sour grape sore butt and his big mouth might have written “Ichabod” over Santorum’s chances. If this guy is no better campaign manager than he is at controlling his big mouth, it’s probably a big part of the reason for Rick’s failing campaign.

Rick should have shown him the door after 2012. IMHO, this dude is badmouthing Trump to try and hide his own deficiencies.

I don’t think Rick feels that way. Over the weekend Cruz and Santorum stood up for Trump when he was being criticized. I think Brabender just shot off his mouth because he’s losing his gig when Rick’s campaign folds.

Sounds right. Rick was my Senator for years. I keep tweeting, begging him to run agains Bob Casey who has supported Obama on every single vote.

One of Christie’s big failures was in not realizing that you can’t talk tough one minute; and hold hands with Obunga down the beach the next minute, and retain your credibility.

Why is it Trump’s fault that he says what Americans want to hear and the other candidates are not very good at it. He’s a billionare that can relate to anyone. He knows how to create jobs. That’s obvious. He knows exactly what’s wrong American and pulls no punches saying it. Obama has tore the country apart. Fiorina is a joke of a candidate, fired from every job she ever had.

It’s either Trump or Cruz or a sacrificial lamb RINO to lose to Hillary Clinton.

The democrats are scared to death of Trump because they know he’ll beat Clinton. The GOP can’t stand him because he has opened the establishment up like a can of worms by telling the world if anyone gets elected but him they (Cruz excluded) will do exactly what the million dollar donors told them to do when they gave the money. It’s not that they think Clinton will beat him. It’s because the old way of doing business is over forever if he becomes president. He would also not pat an eye going after Obama and Clinton for high crimes against the United States.

One big reason Walker didn’t catch on is because Trump told the truth about his record in Wisconsin. Guess what other candidate did that? Not a one of them.

The bitterness I was referring to was from the people who were claiming that Trump stole something they did not want.

“She reminds me a robot and I can’t hear her speak five minutes without getting a massive headache”. ~ Donald Trump

The above statement and other non-PC statements like it are the reason Donald Trump is leading the pack. He says exactly what he feels like saying and more times than not what everyone else is thinking, especially voters.
