MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Warning the GOP's presidential race has become too nasty, Scott Walker suspended his 2016 campaign on Monday and called on some of his Republican rivals to do the same, citing an urgent need to "clear the field" to help defeat GOP front-runner Donald Trump.
"Today, I believe that I am being called to lead by helping to clear the field in this race so that a positive conservative message can rise to the top of the field. With that in mind, I will suspend my campaign immediately," Walker said in a Madison press conference.

All of the evidence says Trump is a socialist, just like every other billionaire.
I do agree with Walker that Republicans need to “clear the field” so that we can have a “positive conservative alternative to the current front-runner”.
That’s why I think the others should drop out, just as he says, so that we can offer Trump as a “positive CONSERVATIVE alternative” to the current front-runner (i.e., Hillary).
My thoughts, exactly, when I first heard Walker’s statement.
I thought, Smart man!
Then, when he went all ¡Jeb! Bush-style GOPee/RINO, I realized he was doubling down on foolishness.
Trump is counterproductive to the conservative cause.
If Trump wasn’t in the race Jeb would be the clear front runner and cruising to the nomination. With no Trump taking all the flak, the entire MSM/GOPe flamethrower would be focused on Cruz. He’d have no chance in those circumstances.
Trump keeps the race wide open and Cruz is potentially the best beneficiary.
So don’t look a gift horse in the mouth, FRiend.

Trump owns the media. It is impossible to Palinize him. Remember what I said, Trump does not have to nehave Politically Correct. The professional politicians can not cross the PC boundary. Their rich donors will not tolerate it.

Trump is taking no flak.
Being given face time in prime time is not flak!
Cruz is deliberately ignored because if they treated him like they do Trump, he would be in uncontested first place.
Cruz has a real message; Trump has nothing but illogical bombast.
Trump’s presence allows the MSM to prevent any true campaigning.
Jeb has been rejected by the people, but is also being kept afloat by the MSM.
