Pedophiles deserve the consideration given to serial killers. By this I mean that only liberals would accept a serial killer as being “normal and natural”, because that is where his inclinations lie.
Liberals are also horrified that society might kill such serial killers, and always find endless excuses for them, or “reasons”, at least, for why society has no *right* to kill them.
Oddly enough, the vast majority of people think otherwise.
With the very popular increase in gun liberty, more and more, not just serial killers, but ordinary killers, robbers, thieves, abusers, thugs and creeps are being *executed* by the public. Had police arrested them, they might sit in prison for decades via the endless grace offered them by liberals who love the violent criminal, but detest their fellow citizen.
So by trying to force pedophile predators on the public, they leave the public little choice but to execute them as well. And all their excuses the pedophile can recite to St. Peter, or perhaps whatever is in charge of the infernal gates.
In this, the public must be firm. Pedophiles are rapists. And as we give considerable tolerance to a rape victim who kills her rapist, so also should be be considerably tolerant of adults who smite pedophiles.
All else being equal, if someone identifies themselves as a pedophile, that should be all the evidence required to justify their demise.

Respectfully, FreeRepubublic (and other Conservative websites) is exactly where this should be.
It needs to be out there, in wider public dissemination, than would be the case if just ignored on Salon. Because if not brought out here, discussed, challenged, and further disseminated (its going on my FB page shortly) it will just manage to creep it’s way out incrementally. By which time it’ll be too late to organize opposition to it.
I would say that is true, provided he never acts out on it. However, the moment he touches a child, he becomes a monster and needs to be dealt with how monsters should be dealt with.
Yes, I do understand the intent of the article is not to simply explain the struggle of a damaged human being who may be struggling with a temptation that he has through no fault of his own, but to normalize a sick view of the world.

As for the author of this bilge, now that he’s “come out of the closet” how long before others decide to “come out?”
I cannot tell you if this article is the first of many or just testing the waters to see if the door to this particularly disgusting closet can be opened.
My guess is that it is the first of many and more than a few will be of the “who are we to judge” type.
The fact that Salon is openly spinning this as an “orientation” alone makes it relevant for posting here on FR.
I wonder how many editors and other writers at Salon would let their kids spend time alone with this guy or someone of his “orientation”.
I don’t believe for a second that he hasn’t done it yet. He’s brazen enough to admit to having the desires, he already rationalises that ot doesn’t make him a monster, I believe he’s already molested.
I understand your concern, and disgust. In all honesty, I went back and forth over posting this one for quite a bit. It’s an awful subject, and the author of this piece is trying to justify the unjustifiable. I ended up posting because I simply think that action is simply too alarming to ignore. If the worst of the perversions - and pedophilia certainly qualifies, in my book - are trying to mainstream themselves - then I think we ought to be aware of it.
That said, I’ll contact the admins and let them decide whether to keep the threat or not. Apologies to you and anyone else I may have offended in bringing this one to light.

We do need to keep track of what the enemy is up to.
If we do not know the tactics they are using as they work to normalize pedophilia, it will be difficult to oppose them.
Of course, the fact that it is even necessary for us to fight against such a perversion being normalized tells us a lot about exactly how far in to the abyss we have been dragged by the lib-prog-dems.
