Forty-nine percent of people asked in a new Gallup survey say the federal government poses "an immediate threat to the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens," and another 19 percent say the federal government is too big in general and puts forth too many laws.
Though this sentiment has been felt by generally the same percentage of Americans for the past five years, fewer than a third of those asked (30 percent) believed it when they were first asked in 2003.
Another 15 percent of those asked worry the federal government violates too many freedoms and civil liberties, while 13 percent see the government as a threat to the Second Amendment.

It seems that some people are not interested in using constitutional tools to regain control of our rogue government.
Really impressive, I’m quite taken aback by your gift for rejoinder, what prison school did you go to to learn all that?
I’m generally condescending to condescending people.
I’m not sure why you would expect any other sort of response to your post, but then again, you do seem dumb as poop.
Oh, my apologies to poop for comparing it to you.
Wow, that’s even more impressive, you’re a real genius.
I thought you might like it, poopy, now go flush yourself down the toilet, you’re boring me.
I think I’ll see if we can get you an honorary doctorate in languages. You have such great imagination and a tremendous vocabulary.
You are the one who set the tone for our relationship, FRiend.
I am not really sure what you expected it to be after your unwarranted and snide post to me.
I just regret that you didn’t have the stones to say it to my face.
That would have been better.
Oh, wow, you know how to pretend to be a tough guy too.
Like I said, it would have been better if you had stones.
We can stop talking now, it’s clear we aren’t going to be friends.
Have a nice life, and God Bless everyone who is unfortunate enough to know you!
I started out by making what I considered a playful remark, it certainly would not have bothered me had I been on the receiving end. You took at as some kind of insult and had you responded in a little more mature manner I probably would have apologized but you chose to respond in a very childish manner which prompted my response and you proceeded to more and more childish responses culminating in suggesting I should have said it to your face. That is absurd, we are not sitting in a bar, how was I supposed to say something to your face? Your whole routine is simply childish.
It wasn’t playful at all. It was condescending and snide.
Do unto others, as they say.
When someone says something to me that angers me, sometimes I respond in a polite manner. Other times I respond angrily.
You got the second type of response.
Had you initially spoken to me in an different manner, you would likely have gotten a different response.
