If there's nothing wrong with being Muslim, why is Obama so upset?

There was a Seinfeld episode where Jerry repeatedly denied being gay but was quick to add, "Not that there's anything wrong with that."  This sitcom episode is being repeated, with Obama replacing Jerry and Islam replacing homosexuality.

Obama says he's not a Muslim.  Fine.  But if there's nothing wrong with being Muslim, what's the problem with people who erroneously say he is?  After all, liberals agree with what Carly Fiorina said about Islam, right after 9/11:

There was once a civilization that was the greatest in the world. Its architects designed buildings that defied gravity. Its mathematicians created the algebra and algorithms that would enable the building of computers, and the creation of encryption. Its doctors examined the human body, and found new cures for disease. Its astronomers looked into the heavens, named the stars, and paved the way for space travel and exploration.

Its writers created thousands of stories. Stories of courage, romance and magic. Its poets wrote of love, when others before them were too steeped in fear to think of such things.

So then shouldn't Obama be flattered to be included, even mistakenly, in this religion of inventors, philosophers, and romance?  He sure doesn't act like it!

The real secret is not that Obama fears being called a Muslim.  It's not about that at all.

It's really about Obama fearing being called overly sympathetic to Muslims.  That's why so many people think he's Muslim: because his words and actions support Muslims, especially the radical kind.

Just google “Muslim Student and clock project” or something like that.

At this point, what difference does it make. It isn’t like the GoP can impeach him because of his religious beliefs. Hell, the GoP wont even consider impeaching him for the crimes he already committed. And Obama’s believers wont/don’t care what he follows. Obama should just come out of the Islamic closet already.

Ha....I guess Leonardo Da Vinci, Galileo and Newton were all islamics...who knew.

Obama can put this all to rest rather quickly if he wants.

Just eat a baconburger, bratwurst, or cold cuts sub, they all contain pork.

But, he won’t do that, will he?? Hmmm ...

Trump should use his judo techniques and spin this:

The real question is, WHY do so many people believe Obama is a Muslim? It is because his policies favor radical Muslims and oppose Christians. Over and over. It is a pattern that intellectually honest people can not ignore.

Well, since Muhammed was not born until 610 AD, the civilization which had all these wonderful accomplishments would not have been Muslim. IMHO Muhammed wanted to emulate Jesus Christ and create his own following.

It would be awesome if Trump found this questioner and exposed him as the DNC/GOP plant that he was.

“The Caliphates destroyed Classical Western civilization scroll by scroll, library by library, scholar by scholar until there was only the faint image we posses today. Christianity as practiced today is also only a shadow of Christianity of the Classical world. “

Did not the Christian monks preserved a LOT of the classic stuff though?

The monks only preserved the copies they had of a few of the ??millions?? of classical writings. All those in Persia and the Middle East, Egypt and North Africa, any that made it to India, as well as much in the European areas conquered by the Moors were burned, destroyed and otherwise made into dust.

We have only fragments of copies and only a very few whole works remaining today. Most known ancient works are known only by referenced titles, same for many authors. These works spanned many centuries prior to the arrival of the Musselmen.

Christianity is in the same shape compared to what it was originally.

I was thinking a lot of that monestary by Mount Sinai, which protected A LOT of those classical writings and have since the past century have come to light. But if I am not mistaken there was an agreement made between those monks and Mohammed himself.

I really do think a lot of the monks did preserve a lot, but most were found in that monestary by Mount Sinai.

Found some articles, thanks. Doesn’t look like any alarm clock we’ve ever seen but I guess that’s the point. I think it would be hilarious if the student shows up at the WH with the same thing he took to school. Would security let him enter with that briefcase in his hand?

Innovative or not, what would make the kid think it would be a hit as an alarm clock? Clear off the dresser top so I can place my alarm clock on it? Sure, right away!

Yes, but that is still only a fraction of the works which were existent which we know about, not counting the unknown number of ones we do not.

The trouble is that most of those found recently were badly burned and will take a long time to restore if that is even possible - not sure if those are the Sinai ones or not.

Many of the treatises in the Persian and Egyptian libraries went back to Egyptian New Kingdom times or even older. It is worth noting that the Library of Alexandra annex (which held what was left after Julius Caesar accidentally burned it) was torched by the Musselmen.

The monks had some, but only what had reached them, various Musselmen scholars preserved some, but only what was useful to them.

Look at any list of Classical works by any author and you will find that some are complete, some are fragments, and some are known only by the title. Nothing the monks saved will fix this.
