This Chart Clears Up Carly Fiorina’s HP Record

Thrust into the national spotlight thanks to Wednesday nights GOP presidential debate, everything about Carly Fiorina is under the medias microscope. Much has been said about Fiorinas job record, particularly her tenure at Hewlett-Packard. Fiorina was fired from HP in 2005, a fact her opponents love to mention.

Not a fan of Carly, but I am tired of people who have never run a business trash her.

Looks like Scott McNealy at Sun did a worse job than Carly did at HP.

Well some of us wrote the training manuals for our outsourced replacements so a stock chart really doesn’t change my opinion at all

I run my own entertainment business and no, I won’t vote for her. HP is just a small percentage of my dislike for her...

No one bats 1000.
Obama has been in the on-deck circle since 2008.
He was the designated nimnod during 2009.
So far he has no runs, no hits and no errors because he's not even in the ballpark now.

One trick pony. What has Carly achieved since HP?

“One trick pony.”
Well not exactly- she did the same thing to Lucent.

HP shows the greatest value increase after Fiorina is ousted. Is that the point to be clarified?

Even if it is true?
Even if she is pro-abort job, pro-DREAM act, pro-homosexual “civil union” marriage, pro-homosexuals serving in the military?
She was fired from HP via unanimous vote.
If she were so good, that wouldn’t have been.

let’s see the chart shows hp up but underperforming dell after she takes over and spins off agilent (starts dismantling the legacy hp), then it tracks the down market through ‘02 then it underperforms the market after she forces a merger with compaq until she’s forced out with the stock tanking.
but, after she’s forced out the stock roars up and outperforms the market.
humm. i don’t think the chart says what you think it does.

or perhaps that the supposedly disastrous decisions she made ended up working out ok

Let me say first...I’m not a Carly fan.
But I can’t help but wonder if she was hired as a “hatchet man”.
So sad...because even while a hatchet is needed at times...they sure aren’t loved.
Sure not my job of choice.

She worked on the board of Taiwan Semicondutor and was fired for her incompetence shortly after. Since then, she’s been a pariah in the corporate world. If she was a man, she wouldn’t even be up for discussion.
