On Wednesday, the Internet rallied support for a bright 14-year-old boy, Ahmed Mohamed, who was arrested for bringing a homemade clock to school. Ahmed was proud of his invention, but school officials and police in Irvine, Texas, did not feel the same way. Ahmed found support from big leaguers like President Obama, who tweeted his well wishes, and the original clockmaster himself, Flavor Flav, who told the world to “STOP clock blocking.” Everyone loves Ahmed except for Bristol Palin and — you guessed it — Bill Maher.
On Friday evening’s episode of Real Time With Bill Maher, the host assured his panel that he would not be throwing the #IStandWithAhmed hashtag anytime soon. Maher believes Ahmed deserves an apology from school officials, but he knows why this happened: “People at the school thought it might be a bomb … because it looks exactly like a f---ing bomb.” Maher’s statement was met with instantaneous audience laughter.

I HATE agreeing with Bill Maher. When you’re right, you’re right.
In fairness to Maher (accghhhhh, Golem, Golem) he HAS been 100% consistent on his opposition to Islamism and his (relative) defense of Christians. He has said you would never see Christians getting the kid gloves treatment. He actually agreed with Ann Coulter on this.

Bill Maher had a great point - that someone needs to bring up that the kid brought something looking like a bomb to school, just 25 miles from where a couple ISIS supporters were trying to kill people for insulting Islam, and if we’re going to “see something, say something”, then something that looks like a bomb by a kid of the same religion of the terrorists SHOULD be reported.
Or do you check your white privilege and not report the bomb, but what if it was a bomb?
No. Instead, he disassembled a working clock and rebuilt it inside a case MADE TO LOOK LIKE A BOMB.

Why’d he even need to plug it in?
He’s been called brilliant and cool for creating a clock. Doesn’t sound like he had any innovation in this project. The skill of putting it together has been demonstrated. I doubt many kids who made these over the years ever thought to take them to school to show their English teachers in the middle of class.
Well, DUH! He had a NASA tee shirt on. The pro-Islamist president has said that muslim outreach and tribute will become a goal of NASA under his regime. So praise the tyke, already!

I made a somewhat similar looking device many, many years ago. (It was a three bit "computer".) I told my SCIENCE teacher about it, before I brought it in, and showed it in the SCIENCE class.
