So much for the Carly Surge.
Isn’t there places still waiting for Hillary and Obama to pay from 2008?
Well, they got paid and they were in a political campaign, vesting themselves in a candidate before being paid.
That’s how they go...
I’m curious. If this was about Trump it would be denounced as a, “hit piece.” Why isn’t it a, “hit piece,” about someone else?
Here’s a more *reputable* source, for the same story (you may catch flak for posting MJ ;)
Fiorina pays up
The revelation that Carly Fiorina took four years to pay off twelve workers from her 2010 Senate campaign is one of those small nonpolitical icebergs that sink large political careers.
It seems that Fiorina owed substantial money (over $500,000 in total) to various critical members of her campaign, including campaign manager Martin Wilson and legal advisor Ben Ginsberg. Fiorina got around to paying her staff off four years after the campaign ended, and only weeks before she announced for the 2016 presidential campaign.
A number of the people stiffed by Fiorina are stating publicly that they would never work for a new campaign.
To put things into perspective, Hillary Clinton managed to have her staff paid off within a year of the close of her 2008 presidential campaign. Correction via Politico:
Hillary Clinton Took More Than Four Years To Pay Off The Campaign Debt From Her Failed 2008 Presidential Bid. More than four years after Hillary Clinton lost the Democratic nomination for president, Clintons 2008 presidential campaign is finally debt-free, new reports filed by the campaign show. Clintons campaign committee paid off about $25 million in debt and now has a surplus of $204,832. The campaign retired its debt just as Clinton is preparing to step down from her job as secretary of state. Clinton supporters are pushing her to run for the presidency again in 2016. What makes it worse for Fiorina is the fact that this builds on her reputation for coldhearted business practice. The layoff of thousands from Hewlett-Packard during her tenure may well have been unavoidable, but coupled with this story, it begins to paint a portrait of the Robber Baroness Unbound.
This line worked very well against Mitt Romney in 2012, with far less in the way of evidence. The GOP cannot afford a repeat performance next year. Unless Carly has a good answer forthcoming and quickly this may well be seen as the moment when the Fiorina campaign started going under.

Tweet the Trump? :)
I’m done with her. She’s a warmongering NeoCon.
The total figure reported yesterday, including stocks, was $42 million. That she didn’t pay her bills for four years would be inexcusable.
Only Mother Jones could pretend to be so naive. What generally happens in campaigns, even victorious ones, is slow pay to vendors and staff. In many cases it is no pay. Former Sen. John Glenn had debt from his 1984 presidential primary effort outstanding when he left the Senate. If may still be outstanding today. Staffers take jobs with campaigns in the hope of an appointment after a victory. They live on credit cards and cold pizza during the campaign, but are fully aware of the gamble they are taking.
Campaigns are typically incorporated, the debts are not the legal obligation of the candidate. Everyone who works for or serves as a vendor to a campaign knows this.
The only campaign I participated in that had real money in it was FL Governor Rick Scott’s 2014 reelection victory over Charlie Christ. Scott and his wife tossed $13M into the total campaign budget of ~$65M. The operation was unusually heavy with paid staff and had relatively de volunteers.
Go ahead and take your shots at Fiorina, if you like, but don’t forget that long trailing campaign debts are the well understood rule and not the exception.
The Carly’s Free Arena Show will only have a few episodes until they cancel the series for the season.
She needed the money for filler and Botox.
Her face has that strange over-treated look.
I knew a women that worked with Carly at a realty company in Palo Alto, Ca, called was a backstabbing Demon.
How long did it take multimillionaire Hillary to pay her bills for her 2008 campaign
Bttt
John Glenn never paid off debts from his ill-fated 1984 presidential run as he was NOT ALLOWED TO under federal elections commission rules. He could not even reach in his own pocket and pay it or try to raise money for that purpose. It is all based on a window of opportunity for raising and paying, and the giving limits.

Well at least they got paid.
A $500,000 four year old debt owed by someone who took $42 million in severance from the shareholders of HP. A virtuous and honorable person would have written the check four years ago after losing. Unfortunately, very few people in leadership positions in the USA today are virtuous or honorable.
Her behavior makes her a poster child for the narcissistic secular culture, devoid of ethics and personal responsibility, that has supplanted historical understanding of values and morality rooted in religion.
Hey! Ruthlessness can be good in this day and age.
