His politics are that of principled rebellion. Between 2005 and 2010, when Labour was in government, Corbyn voted against party lines 25% of the time. Known for his anti-war politics, he has publicly supported both the Palestine Solidarity Campaign and Irish republicans. In 1996 the Guardian editorialized that his ill-timed meeting with Gerry Adams of Sinn Fein made him a fool whom the Labour Party would probably be better off without.
Now, with the party in disarray, Corbyn has come out of obscurity to become Labours next leader and British Jewry is worried.
In a recent Survation poll, 67% of British Jews said they were concerned about his possible victory. The JC rarely claims to speak for anyone other than ourselves, The Jewish Chronicles August 12 editorial stated. But in this rare instance we are certain that we speak for the vast majority of British Jews in expressing deep foreboding at the prospect of Mr. Corbyns election as Labour leader.
Perturbing British Jewry are Corbyns associations with anti-Semitic individuals: Paul Eisen, the Holocaust denier whose foundation Deir Yassin Remembered Corbyn has supported ; Raed Salah, a Palestinian leader convicted of funding Hamas, whom Corbyn invited to Parliament and called a very honored citizen; and Arab activist Dyab Abou Jahjah, with whom Corbyn shared a platform at a Stop The War Coalition meeting in 2009 but who was later banned from the UK on grounds of extremism.
Corbyn has also landed himself in hot water for Stop The War Coalitions support of al-Quds Day demonstrations and referring to Hamas and Hezbollah as friends during a parliamentary meeting on the Middle East. He has previously met with representatives of both Hamas and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Hamas and the military wing of Hezbollah are recognized as terrorist organizations by the European Union.

If Jeremy Corbyn becomes Prime Minister, the whole planet should be worried.

Buh-buh I thought right-wingers were supposed to Nazis ? That’s what the media always says.
It will happen. Just because the Labour grassroots are nuts doesn’t mean the British people are. In fact, a lot of British Conservatives are known to have infiltrated the Labour Party to ensure his victory, because they know that with Corbyn at the helm, they’ve got Michael Foot (1980s Labour leader) on steroids.

Are you saying that British Conservatives want to lose?
As far as I can judge from C-SPAN coverage and a little bit of reading, British Conservatives conduct themselves with the same political charade that the Republican Party uses in America.
Both Parties pretend to be “Conservative,” then they declare themselves “helpless” to stop the relentless Left Wing drift of their respective countries.
It's the same “Uniparty” in both countries, except the British Conservatives are even less Conservative than the USA Republicans!
They ensured his victory to make sure the worst possible candidate for Labour won. Corbyn will make sure by his complete lack of attraction to the UK general public, that Tories win in 2020 and even 2025.
The Michael Foot reference was probably lost on you, lol.
Thanks for the clarification. That is a good strategy.
I did a bit of research on Corbyn and he’s worse than, or the same as our Bernie Sanders.
Yes, Michael Foot lost me. LOL
Foot was Labour Leader after Thatcher won, he was a hard lefty nut and Labour got handed it’s *ss in 1983.
If this clown is still leader during the next election, they’ll be handed their *ss again.
Thanks for the good info.
