Can Romney Save Us From Trump?
politico.com ^ | 9/15/15 | Matt Latimer

In a tastefully furnished conference room somewhere in the nation’s capital, leaders of the GOP establishment are popping antacids and shaking their heads. Donald Trump is the face of their party now — and there’s no stopping him.

In the latest CNN poll, his lead has grown, due to increased support among two groups they assumed would grow to hate him: Republican women and college graduates. Every candidate challenging The Donald has seen his numbers drop. Ben Carson may be next over his rather dubious decision to attack Trump on illegal immigration — the issue that propelled Trump to first place in the first place.

If only there were someone out there who could appeal to establishment voters, but also engender support from the rank and file. An outsider who has never worked in Washington. Someone with some “high energy,” without the need for caffeine.

Bet they all wish they’d been a little nicer to Mitt Romney now.

When the former Republican nominee first mused about entering the 2016 race, way back in January, he received a harsher welcome than the Apple Pencil. Nasty editorials. Anonymous quotes. Condemnation from pundits who used to champion him. Dismissive comments from donors.

Now these same Romney bashers would be the first to climb to the top of the tallest building on K Street and light up the Bat Signal for him. Or to use another analogy, Obi-Wan Ke-Romney, you’re their only hope.

you are quoting the dogma but in truth you don’t know what Romney would have done as President

by clinging to baseless dogma your credibility diminishes to zero

the bottom line is that favoring Obama over Romney is shameful regardless of all the now irrelevant blather

Old tired excuse. Same as always Bert. Your hero is a leftist. Learn from your mistake.

It was depressing to watch TV like I did yesyerday for 10 hours. Every network (ESPECIALLY FOX MEXICO)was out to get Trump. The Establishment Republican Traitors To The Unitewd States were out in full force to trash Trump, and to MAKE SURE Cruz got no exposure at all. I hadn’t watched Fox(or any other) since election night 2008. I did yeaterday, and they are absolute globalist SCUM. They do more damage to the conservative cause than all the other networks combined!

SCUM.

Of all people, only the ratings whore Bill O’Reilly came to the defense of both Trump & Cruz. Pure irony.

I was quite surprised on CNBC this morning the regulars were trashing Trump and pushing Carly hard, but then they brought on a guy from Yale who really effectively shredded Carly over her HP record and mostly gave Trump kudos.

The entire MSM (ESPECIALLY FOX) have declared war on all things conservative, and that includes Christianity. There is no pretense anymore, just a war. I like our enemies out in front, so we can fight them.

Carly is a super Establishment FRAUD.

She faked tears. She memorized(and stumbled twice) her entire performance. She made me ill. The entire MSM is out for Trump & Cruz. Evil personified!

Well as long as people keep patronizing dish/cable and sending their monthly offerings, that’s only going to continue.

But everyone has a double special excuse as to how THEIR money doesn’t directly fund their own demise. And TV is too important to give up.

If we all pulled the plug, there would BE no DNCTV to destroy America.

I note that other than Romney's single minded obsession with money for the polo players and trust fund babies that there are NO significant differences between Obozo and Willard. If Willard were not just as much an enthusiastic baby-killer, fudge-packer "marriage" enabler, foreign and military policy coward, establishment suck up with knee pads, gun grabber, despiser of American peasants, illegal immigration supporting; etc., etc., etc., (pick your poison) as Obozo, you and other Romney love slaves would long since have given us the specifics. There were none in 2012, will be none in 2016 and never were any as your silence eloquently proves.

Republican Party dogma is that:

1. Any Republican is better than any Democrat or anyone else'

2. There is some difference which escapes any and all actual conservatives and other rational folks between the imam in the White Hut and the glorious Willard (or McCain or Dole or W or Poppy Bush or any of the other trash that the GOP-E regularly funds and nominates);

3. If only the gullible peasants cast even more votes for those whose sole obsession is the improvement of the old crony corporatist bottom line (by exporting jobs and viciously slashing the American standard of living) to lavish more unimaginable luxury on those who invest in GOP-E candidates at the expense of the rest of our nation and of the American people; and that we should also vote for any old lying "Republican" Establishment hack for any otyer office as I will not vote for Mark Kirk or Adam Kinzinger, both bought and paid for Establishment shills lacking a shred of morality or wisdom.

4.
