I have to strongly disagree with you.
Of course it’ll start a war....on the most dangerous piece of land in the world, which could lead to the building of The Third Temple, which only the totally insane wants to happen.
The Bible tells us how horrific that turns out, that You-Know-Who enters it and causes the Abomination of Desolation.

From the looks of things going on in the middle east with Russian troops in Syria with Chinese ships off the coast in the Meditraian and the possible attack on Iran by Israel there will be some sort of war there in the middle east very soon.
I would say Israel will recapture the Temple Mount during some major war there in the middle not worried of what the world says and regardless of the the Muslims or Arabs do.
Then perhaps there will be some kind of peace accord to stop the fighting just long enough for them to build the 3rd temple.
Don’t know how many years to build the temple but Israel will get control of the temple mount back.
The bible is clear that Israel will be surrounded by the world’s nations.
It is interesting that the US is not directly mention in bible prophocy, perhaps in a greatly deminished role.

There will be no “third temple” built.
Those looking to see a temple are just not reading all of scripture. Their theories are just plain looney.
The Temple will arrive when Yeshua returns with his bride to rule from the throne of David. Prior to that the mount will be the site of at least two nuclear wars.
The “Holy Place” on which the man of sin stands is the mercy seat of the Ark, not a new temple.
