Navy Secretary Ray Mabus criticized Friday the findings of a new Marine report that all-male combat units perform better on a number of tactical tasks than mixed-gender units.
Mr. Mabus, the civilian secretary who leads the Navy Department — including the Marine Corps — has called for the Navy to open combat jobs to women, and said the latest report may have been tainted by negative attitudes from the beginning.
“They started out with a fairly largely component of the men thinking this is not a good idea, and women will not be able to do this,” he said in an interview with NPR.
The report, released Thursday, was conducted over a 9-month period at two separate training camps and is part of a Marine Corps experiment to study integrating women into the infantry in order to meet a 2012 order by then-Defense Secretary Leon Panetta to open all military jobs, including combat roles, to women.
Services must open all jobs to women by January, or else submit requests for exemptions to Defense Secretary Ashton Carter by the end of this month.

So, in other words, Ray, the professionals who did the study MUST have been influenced by their own bias, because the scientific conclusions that they did produced do not agree with your bias?

Seems pretty clear to me who is biased and for what reasons.
Those MARINES doing the report are willing to lay down their life for this nation...Ray...and so they are going to honestly look at what is best for the nation, and what is best for the Marines defending it...and not through some rose-colored political lens either.

OKAY, lets find out which is true. Have an all female unit compete against an all male unit and a mixed male and female 50/50 unit. Have the people inhabiting the units be randomly assigned. Study the results, publish and abide by the results.
What makes you think anyone in command really cares?
Mabus is there to assure two things:
1) Equality of Outcome
2) His own continued employment.
If those two things are accomplished, what do a few dead Marines matter?

Obama has a good part of the country so inflamed and angry that I think people will be pointing (loaded) guns back in their direction. Not everybody, but enough to cause another civil war.
Better yet, just train an all female combat unit, a homo only combat unit and a combat unit comprised of every other kind of oddball sexual deviate.
Then put them out in real combat on the front line.
In other news, another report saying kids need both a mom and a dad was tossed in the trash, as was one indicting that some girls have a real problem with boys using their changing rooms.

I’m just struck by the irony of people even Krauthammer making such a big deal out of a little mudslinging and it’s because she’s a girl.
Trump is going to insult a lot of people in the next year and in the years that follow.
And a lot of people will make fun of him.
They’re defending her because she’s a girl while they’re trying to get women into roles they are not suited for.
A girl can be president (a woman) just as well as a guy if she’s suited for it, but combat training like in the SEALS simply takes upper body and overall strength we girls do not have.
If we did, then women would play football and baseball professionally or on college teams, but since those are money making organizations no girls allowed.
I am a female. so I’m just saying, I think there should be all boys organizations as well as all girls’
