The real estate mogul first noted that "the pictures in the magazine were magnificent" and that "overall, it was probably a pretty good story."
He then said, "Probably I did say something like that about Carly," adding later that he said it "in a jocular manner." He also said it wasn't about her appearance.
"I’m talking about persona. I’m not talking about looks," he said on Fox. TPM
Who then, if not Trump? Cruz perhaps, but all the others, with the possible exception of Carson, are part of the GOPe machine.

True, but to the main point, the Jurassic media or establishment media reaction is not relevant. Neither is whether it's "fair" to Carly or not, or how Carly reacts. The main point is that this was a foolish unforced error by Trump. It was more the childish reaction of someone who was losing, not the reaction you expect from an adult who is way out front. It was an unforced error. It was a window into a petty soul, and not the first one to pop open.
Now Carly was wrong to take Megyn's side v Trump too, but in that case, the issue was not Trump, it was Carly and her judgment....which was her first real tone deaf moment of the entire thing.
Right now, it’s Trump versus Bush.
I like Cruz. Cruz, Trump or Carson are fine and either one could be the nominee. Save the vitriol for the Bush and Bush clones like Farina, and Kasich.
I would never accuse her of screwing her way to the top. I have been on FreeRepublic just as long as you. And I have not seen one single shred of evidence this woman has any qualification to be President, aside from the fact that Meghan Kelly thought she performed well against a tier of third rate second stringers. We are still suffering from one affirmative action president and certainly don’t deserve another. If she was so great, why did they can her? I don’t care what Carly looks like, but I do care that so many supposedly intelligent Freepers think that’s the issue, or whether it’s fair to Carly is the issue, or how Carly responds is the issue.
All of that is to miss the ENTIRE POINT.....which is Trumps judgment, pettiness and the unforced nature of this clear error.
