Donald Trump took shots at several of his fellow Republican presidential candidates in a Rolling Stone profile published on Wednesday, but it’s his comments about Carly Fiorina’s physical appearance that are attracting the most attention....
“Look at that face!” he cries. “Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!” The laughter grows halting and faint behind him. “I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?”
Asked what she believes Trump meant by the comment about her face, Fiorina said “I have no idea.”
“Honestly, Megyn, I’m not going to spend a single cycle wondering what Donald Trump means. But maybe, just maybe, I’m getting under his skin a little bit because I am climbing in the polls.”
Fiorina was far from the only GOP contender that Trump mocked in the Rolling Stone article.
Moments before his comment about Fiorina, Trump and his aides appeared to joke about Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s mental acuity.....

Now this is the classic Trump bot response. In just a few words, you managed to be illogical, hypocritical, inaccurate, and intellectually blind. Really amazing to cram all of that in. First, THIS side of Donald is not the same as attacking Jeb bluntly on policy or even personality. Then to defend it because Carly's evil, when the Donald has been in favor of the same damned things for longer than she has, shows the depths of depravity - of sheer hypocrisy or sheer ignorance - of your argument. And even so, you are wrong - this will HELP Carly, guaranteed. And probably at the expense of the Donald. So it's hardly saving the Republic.

As for Luntz, like all focus group mavens, he’s right...for the moment. Right now, nothing does disqualify Trump. What focus groups do not take into account, because they CANNOT take into account, is the impact over time and the critical mass issue.
On the other hand, Bill Clinton over whelmed the critical mass dynamic by having a CRITICAL critical mass - where there were so many problems, no one could remember or focus on a single one. Perhaps Donald will do that.

And (God Forbid) Trump is the Republican nominee, his spiteful comments will help Hilary Clinton.
If his GOP poll numbers are 40% - that still means 60% are not impressed - with all the saturation coverage. I happen to believe he has no core conservative values. He has used his wealth to buy influence because he loves himself - above God and the USA.

Trump has merely expressed sentiments on illegal immigration that most of us share, however, he has not expressed similar outrage on issues that are important to a majority of FReepers.
