New James Bond gets a live-in girlfriend and 'outspoken' gay friend
The Telegraph ^ | Sep 8, 2015 | Hannah Furness

For decades he has swaggered through life conquering women, chain smoking and saving the world, untroubled by the sensitivities of the 21st century.

In a new book, however, James Bond will be getting a dose of modern morality, as author Anthony Horowitz reveals the tricks he used to drag the spy kicking and screaming into the era of political correctness.

Horowitz, the writer of new Bond novel Trigger Mortis, said he had worked carefully to preserve Ian Fleming’s original character and ensuring his 1950s attitudes remained in tact.

Guys, add 007 to the list of SJW victims.

I haven’t seen a 007 flick since the gag-inducing “Die Another Day”. And the odds on next Bond, Tom Hardy, supposedly has dabbled in peter puffing. Google it.

There’s always the classic flicks to watch.

Yep.
See below. But publishers pay in advance and handle publicity and advertising, which is harder than you’d think.

If I remember correctly, Andy Horowitz wrote the screen scripts for “Foyle’s War”, a very good British WW2 police series.

Horowitz seemed like a well-grounded writer. Hope it’s not him. Going PC can kill your reputation and drive away the audiences who don’t want Pink Panty heroes.

Yeah....I've just finished a book about Ian Fleming and his life in Jamaica at his getaway house, Goldeneye.

He wrote all of the Bond books there.

His favorite mistress's son founded Island Records and now owns Goldeneye as well.

As far as the upcoming book, all I can say is that Horowitz is a good writer (he writes official Sherlock Holmes tales commissioned by the Conan Doyle Estate) and his TV series, Foyle's War, is one of my favorite of the PBS Masterpiece Mystery programs.

Keeping fingers crossed.....

So your agents dictate what you must write and how? Why am I not surprised. That’s exactly why I’m sure I will give up on modern literature soon. I’ve already abandoned any hope of ever watching another good movie. As soon as the agenda becomes apparent I’m done.

There is little talent or emotional investment required to string a series of politically correct events together with some blood and guts, plus liberal amounts of graphic sexual content. Just about everything today is basic soft porn without any appeal to anything above the waist. It has become predictable and boring even to those who like exciting their baser instincts. Snuff films can’t be far off in this degenerate, Roman look-a-like society. The main players might be the same as then, rebellious Christians.(semi sarc)

Please consider writing something for the minority of us who crave something with yesterday’s flavors of inspiration, heroism, character and bravery. Perhaps life really does imitate art. Given the obvious differences between this century and the last I believe it. For the life of me I can’t see a memorable composer, artist or statesman coming out of this era.

He was married in “On her Majesty Secret Service”. Tracy Bond, was killed. he became a hard ass after that.

They should have son of Bond because he would be in his 80s by now, that or Bond in his electric scooter.

Bond was married. however, we learn at the beginning of From Russia With Love (the novel after Diamonds Are Forever) that Tiffany Case did move to London and move in with Bond at his Chelsea flat until the relationship soured and she fell in love with a US Marine stationed in London.

I am not sure why the fact that Bond living with a women is so controversial.

As I stated before, homosexuality is nothing to new to the Bond Genre. Scaramanga is presumably homosexual Ian Fleming’s final novel, The Man with the Golden Gun.

In a report written by ‘CC’ (presumably based on Hugh Trevor Roper) it is alleged that since Scaramanga could not whistle he could be a homosexual. To me it is unclear where Ian Fleming got this theory.

It is interesting to note that Kingsley Amis suggested after the death of Ian Fleming that the reason that Scaramanga was willing to accept Bond so easily was that Scaramanga was sexually attractive to Bond. I am wondering if Fleming in his final days filled with sickness and depression, wanted to take a final swing at those who criticized him earlier in his career over the choice of weapon for Bond, suggested that Scaramanga’s golden gun was a mere extension of his penis.

“Tom Hardy, supposedly has dabbled in peter puffing. Google it.”

Eeeeeewwwwwwwwww, what a fvccing weirdo.

Anyway this is a novel so I say “who cares”, still, it’s not good to see, the steady girlfriend part either. Next thing you know, Bond will have a low sperm count so he and the GF will adopt a Chinese baby.

It's really weird... this guy has a HUGE fan base on the internet ever since he played "Bane" (in name only, the comic book version is a Latin American body builder who is addicted to a uber-steroid type drug called "Venom") in that Dark Knight sequel I STILL haven't bothered to watch:

Real Bane vs. Bane In Name Only movie version

Hardy's first "starring role" was as "Picard's evil clone" in 2002's Star Trek: Nemesis. I've seen that one. The behind-the-scenes featurette says they had a hard time casting the role because some of the actors looked just like Stewart but couldn't sound or act like him, and some of them acted and sounded exactly like him but didn't look like him, so they needed to find a balance. The compromise decision must have been to find someone who doesn't look OR sound like Stewart, hence Hardy's awful casting.

Shaved head = Patrick Stewart!! Ummm, no.

In addition to the creepy homo blowjobs rumor, Hardy was also apparently addicted to crack cocaine after Nemesis bombed, but recovered and made a "comeback" in Hollywood when he played Bane In Name Only.

I've now heard "rumors" they want to cast the guy in every major Hollywood role, from Wolverine to James Bond.

Congrats, Hollywood. You finally found a way to make me root for Daniel Craig to keep playing Agent 007.

He hasn’t Peter Puffed.

And Hardy is a brilliant actor, he would make a superb Bond.

I keep meaning to watch Dark Knight Rises. I was pissed they moved filming to Pittsburgh. I'll let you know what I think of it when I do.

LMAO! I can't get passed what a stupid idea that character that was, evil younger Picard, raised as slave by Romulans, takes over a previously unmentioned slave race and intends genocide towards humanity because...........uh....beats me.....the Space Cloud in Star Trek 4 had a better motivation. He had reason to hate Romulans, but not humans. The only sillier villain in Trek movies, Spock's previously un and never again mentioned half brother.

If they wanted an evil Picard, the could have used the Mirror Universe (where per DS9 Humans were enslaved at this point in time and were rebelling against their masters) and had Patrick Stewart be hero and villain both, that could have been cool. It seems like they used that idea, minus the Mirror Universe part. Picard even says to clone boy "I'm a mirror for you as well.". It was like a tease, "we could have had an interesting plot but we chose this crap instead."

Anyway, I find Hardy unlikable and a bizarre choice for Bond, hopefully he doesn't get it.

You would enjoy OHMSS with Lazenby.

You’d enjoy the darker Timothy Dalton films. And you’d like two of the three the Daniel Craig films: Casino Royale and Skyfall. Quantum of Solace isn’t as good, but ok.
