During Fox News live coverage of Kentucky clerk Kim Davis release from prison, anchor Shepard Smith suddenly spoke over the press conference to chastise Davis and those who supported her decision to refuse to issue gay marriage licenses.
They set this up as a religious play again, he said. This is the same crowd that says, We dont want Sharia law, dont let them tell us what to do, keep their religion out of our lives and out of our government. Well, here we go again.
When this started, this lawyer said he needed an accommodation for a woman who wanted one. She said she didnt want her name on a license for gay people, Smith said. Now theyve come up with one, theyve let her out of jail But its not what they want.
This is what they want, what youre hearing now and this what theyre going to get: stirred up argument and a couple of days in the news cycle, and theyre going to be able to make these claims.
Smith argued the Supreme Court had already ruled on the issue of gay marriage, and the issued was settled. This is not unprecedented. They did it when they said black and white people couldnt marry.
In the end, he concluded, Haters are going to hate. We thought what this woman wanted was an accommodation, which theyve granted her, something that worked for everybody. But its not what they want.
Watch, via Fox News:
When you here people say they want religion out of politics what they are really saying is that they want Judeo-Christian morality out of politics so that they can do whatever they want.
Hope we don’t. My hubby is one.
Who is the bigger drama queen on Fox? Geraldo or Shep! I loathe their so-called journalism that allows them to rant like wimpy fools! I watched their coverage during Katrina Hurricane in New Orleans and I despise them both! Fox keeps Shep and Geraldo on their pay! Lost a lot of respect for Fox News years ago!
It’s very true. I finally stopped turning Fox on because I realized I was yelling at the TV more than I was listening to it. I’m wearing the mute button out, too. That’s not good. They are pushing the gay agenda so hard they are leaving tread marks. I’ll get my news from someone that values the Constitution over their own desire to cozy up to the gay mafia.
There’s something bigger than us afoot here.
It’s big time shenanigans alright.
Well, perhaps this will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
Wow, gross. Is he still alive? I thought the died of Hepatitis.
Shep is a closet fag
Yep. The irony with these guys is amazing.
Yup. It it way more than just the need to make themselves a smaller target. They are waving the banner of allegiance. I have also begun to notice how many of them are “coming out” as proud libertarians. We out here in flyover country aren’t supposed to notice the difference between a social conservative and a social progressive.

“With his reckless comments, Smith, regularly featured by Out magazine as a powerful homosexual media personality, has embarrassed his channel and turned himself into a liability with the channels conservative viewers. He has completely dropped any pretense of objectivity on his show, by apparently taking it personally that many people find the gay lifestyle to be morally repugnant”
“this isnt the first time that Shepard Smith has been able to spout pro-homosexual views on the air. He denounced Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day as the National Day of Intolerance because supporters of the restaurant chain turned out in support of the CEOs pro-traditional marriage views.
Fox actually pours money into the homosexual lobby. As reported by AIM, Smith and other Fox News personalities, including Megyn Kelly, have raised money for the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA), a special interest lobby which has guided pro-homosexual coverage in virtually all major media organizations. In April, the Fox News Channel joined CBS News and CNN as silver sponsors of the NLGJA 20th annual New York Headlines & Headliners fundraising event. A male stripper performed at the event.
This columnist, who tried to cover the affair, was told that if he recorded the event he would be thrown out.
When I tried to reach Roger Ailes, Chairman and CEO of Fox News at the switchboard number of 212-301-3000, I was told he was unavailable for comment and that his office would not even accept my inquiry”.
So twinkle toes had a hissy fit. That’s too bad. Not the first one and probably won’t be the last. But it does tell us more about FAUX News doesn’t it?
Two-bit phony’s, reject from PBS and druggies. Some credibility there.
Sorry about the loss of my verb in my last post. I guess I am a little confused about what the definition of “it” is.
FWIW I wasn’t even talking about people but about the devil. But it’s getting a lot of sympathy from people who we would think would really KNOW better.
Sadly, a lot of people are being fooled by the devil in a thin disguise.
The devil has sold a lot of people on the illusory benefits of being devilish. This is NOT an easy problem to lick. It really is a Christ sized problem.
I know.
.
Be not surprised!
Fox belongs to Rupert Murdoch, an avowed occultist whose board room resembles Anton Le Vey’s parlor.
