Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis Set to Be Released From Jail

It should get plenty of coverage now that Kim Davis is free!
Thank God
Now throw that Judge in jail!!
I heard on the radio that she said she still isn’t going to issue them. So, not to fear.
Idiots they are indeed. an elected official can’t simply be fired.
Released by Bunning, the judge who jailed her. He said that licenses are now being issued and she shouldn’t interfere with that.
The 6th Circuit Appeal probably would have been against his jailing.
The protests were growing.
I don’t know the penalty if she does interfere with the other clerks’ issuing licenses.
But he doesn't need to hold her in contempt a second time. And perhaps the gay lobby doesn't want a martyr. Also, they need to clear the boards for the Pope's visit.
On their website now. Lol. Can’t wait to hear the rationale.
... but once released and she goes back to work and she again refuses (and tells her people not to issue) to issue what happens then?
He was the President’s choice. Bunning is the youngest son of Senator Jim Bunning (R-KY)—a devout Catholic and Constitutional conservative.
Federal judge, in for life.
She’s going to go down to the court house and tell her employees to STOP issuing fraudulent documents with her name on them.
That’s what I’m thinking - unless there is some accommodation or resolution behind the scenes and not being reported, I don’t see where this changes anything for Davis ... other than she’s not behind bars at the moment.
Yep. It is strategy. He wants to retain control of her. Jailing her made her a martyr. The recent filing threatened to take it out of his hands. Bunning is a hard core gay activists. He wants to retain maximum control of this situation.
A court order issued Tuesday says, “Defendant Davis shall be released from the custody of the U.S. Marshal forthwith. Defendant Davis shall not interfere in any way, directly or indirectly, with the efforts of her deputy clerks to issue marriage licenses to all legally eligible couples. If Defendant Davis should interfere in any way with their issuance, that will be considered a violation of this Order and appropriate sanctions will be considered.”

Use whatever excuse you like to justify this judge's decision. He overstepped his bounds, and trampled all over the 10th amendment.
The feds don't have a leg to stand on in this case.
My advice to fed judges: stay away from Kentucky, unless you want to land yourself in jail.
Yabba dabba do!
Defendant Davis shall be released from the custody of the U.S. Marshal forthwith. Really?
“legally eligible couples”? With all due respect to the laws of the state of Kentucky (and a big FU to a SCOTUS “opinion”), then she may continue to deny same sex licenses.
Thank goodness.
Thanks.
