Regardless of Kim's religious beliefs, She was upholding current Kentucky law, which was voted on by the people, and overwhelmingly approved by the electorate (ie: the people).

Use whatever excuse you like to justify this judge's decision. He overstepped his bounds, and trampled all over the 10th amendment.

The feds don't have a leg to stand on in this case.

My advice to fed judges: stay away from Kentucky, unless you want to land yourself in jail.

That was the same argument used in Alabama after 1967—that the marriages ordered by the Supreme Court were still in fact against the State of Alambama’s law (as well as multiple other states). They fought being told what to do for three years, until United States v. Brittain.
