SCOTUS declared Kentucky's marriage law unconstitutional - Kentucky has yet to pass a replacement law, exactly who is an eligible couple in Kentucky? And please explain to me why it is merely limited to a couple? At this point, I can think of no rational argument once you've tossed out the meaning of the word 'marriage.'

Matt Staver, Davis’ lawyer, spoke a few minutes ago. As I understood him, he said that all she wanted was her name off of the certificates. He said those altered or incomplete licenses now being issued are invalid according to Kentucky law that prohibits their authorization by ineligible parties.
Then he went into a lecture about the Kentucky Law not having been changed, so that there is no operating law in Kentucky on this aspect of marriage.
IOW, you and he were on the same page. I wish I had a tape of it, but I don’t.

If this pissant federal judicial tyrant David Bunning hallucinates that he is a "devout" Constitutional scholar, we know better. If he hallucinates that he is a "devout" Roman Catholic, God knows better and, unless David Bunning repents his evil before death, Bunning is unlikely to obtain relief from his eternal sentence after death.

Sorry, much more aimed towards the judge. I can’t figure out if he is brilliant in giving her an absolute out (no law in Kentucky is legal at the moment for marriage) or simply doesn’t bother to read the laws of Kentucky.
It’s a puzzle to me what he’s doing ... other than I do believe he very much didn’t like the optics of presidential candidates and large crowds showing up at the jail in support of Ms. Davis.

The little sawed off fag Sheppie Smith pissed off to the extreme. He just just said what Kim Davis did was exactly what people did when they said interracial marriages were not allowed! One big difference you little fag. Interracial marriages in the 60s were between a man and woman, not two fudge-packers or two women that like to strap rubber dildos on and pretend to have sex. Shep Smith actually talked over Kim’s lawyer when he went to the podium and was giving her Christian testimony. What is Shep so afraid of the world hearing? Now he’s doing it again to Huckabee! Does anyone know how to contact Fox News, I can’t find a link on their page.

FWIW, I think the reason he didn't take that track in the first place it's that Kim Davis only had standing to assert the constitutional violation to her own religious liberty. She did not have standing to challenge the validity of the current law in Kentucky.
She was jailed because she refused to obey an executive order from the governor, who is a pig. Beshear ordered all clerks to abide by Justice Kennedy's opinion. He had no authority to issue that order without first getting the legislature to meet and pass New laws and regulations.
