TRUMP: US SHOULD ‘HELP AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE,’ WITH REFUGEE CRISIS, ‘POSSIBLY’ LET SOME IN
Breitbart ^ | 5 SEPT 2015 | IAN HANCHETT

Posted on 09/07/2015 12:37:22 PM PDT by South40

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that while “There’s only so much we can do. We have to fix our own country” the US should “help as much as possible” with the European refugee crisis and “possibly” let some refugees into the US on Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

Trump was asked about the European refugee crisis and, “Should we be letting some of those people into this country?”

He answered, “So horrible on a humanitarian basis when you see that. It’s like incredible what’s going on. But, you know, we have so many problems. And the answer is possibly yes, Cokie, possibly yes.

Maybe if you continue ignoring his long liberal past it will change and he won’t be a liberal.

“And, assuming his key talking points hold true after the election, a good chance of a congress that will actually do something.”

I have a question for you: How will Donald Trump get the congress to go along with him? So far both sides of the aisle bow and scrape to the left.

If he’s a liberal than I’m a liberal! Your analogy makes no sense! Trump makes sense and I guess that is why you don’t like him.

I'm not sure what your point here is....
...I am sure I am now dumber then I was for having read it.

I'll summarize it quickly for you( and in childrens terminology)
We don't need to take a chance of allowing in more immigrants - esp. muslims (who won't be using airliners again) who could possibly smuggle in suitcase b's.
I'm sure that with 150 billion dollars, Iran can buy from Russia or Pakistan the very ...the very latest... in miniature nukes/dirty nukes placed into the very smallest of suitcases that money can buy.

Now JoSix, we have to be lucky, every time - to catch 'nukes in a suitcase' carrying muslims/ but they only have to be 'lucky' one time and get here)

So, let's say we do get lucky and catch this first, lone muslim smuggler with his suitcase bomb before he gets here. But then we have to assume that Iran could, with 150 billion dollars, buy 50 suitcase nukes and buy 50 of the small suitcases, then send 50 separate muslim terrorist - the next time. (and to point out again for you JoeSto, it would only take one of these 50 to successfully make it here...and ah, well, you can figure out what will happen. [wink & a nod]

There JoeSto, I put the above in drawn out 4th grader terminology so as to help prevent you from dropping further down into the depths of being a dumb azz , from where you already are. [wink & a nod]
Now. in closing my point here is...that I think it's simply safer to not allow more immigrants in from anywhere - right at this time. Let's just wait until Iran has spent that $150 billion. (and as for the hungry immigrants - we'll let God sort it out. )

This is from Cruz from a year ago (talking about Syrian refugees no less). Not sure he should be challenging Trump on this issue.

“We have welcomed refugees, the tired huddled masses, for centuries. That’s been the history of the United States. We should continue to do so... We have to make sure those coming are not affiliated with terrorists, but we can do that.”

Even worse, the Cruz supporters are completely ignoring Cruz’s position on this very subject while trashing Trump. Cognitive dissonance 101.

Ted Cruz on Syrian Refugee Crisis one year ago.

You confuse conservatism with campaign promises, aka rhetoric.

It would be wise to look past his campaign rhetoric and look at his history, something few Trump supporters are willing to do. If you did you would see he is a liberal.

No, that is YOUR logic that jumped to the conclusion that Trump=Obama.

The message was that people need to put more thought into their choices than just buzz words. I think most people got that. It was an analogy.

Ted Cruz on Syrian Refugee Crisis one year ago.

One year ago is not today.

The refugee situation one year ago was mostly displaced Christians. Today, it is mostly Islamist.

I haven’t read all 550+ posts, so this may already have been proposed.I suggest Trump propose that we should take one carefully-vetted refugee for every illegal Latin American who registers to leave the US.

"My understanding is that Christian refugees in danger for their lives are the ones unjustly being denied entry to the US."

I've seen the propaganda on that from Russia and Italy, but the refugees cannot be sorted from one another. Many of one religion tend to claim to be members of the other for propaganda purposes and for crossing borders. To get into the U.S.A., many of them even change their clothing, grooming habits (shaving, etc.) and social customs wherever they'll meet Americans other than their own kind. For decades, they've been shaving, drinking alcohol and eating pork with American students before returning to the homes of their wealthy cleric fathers in Iran or staying and practicing their religion in more private circles.

Any of the very few remaining non-Muslims in Syria are probably with Assad's forces (loyal to the mullahs in Iran and hating us) or with the Kurds (also mostly Muslim, but more tolerant and communist).

Russia has been trying to use them for incursions into other countries for a long time for the purpose of trying to conquer the West. Is the Vatican doing the same now? It's beginning to look that way.

“You and I are not even on the same planet”

I agree with you. We are not. Thank you:)

If you have read my posts, and others have seen me say this, there are several things that are in the negative column for me for Cruz. I weigh the negatives and positives of all of the candidates.I have said he isn’t 100% right all of the time. I did not agree with a couple of his more recent votes. The one with the most positives is my guy. It’s just as simple as that for me. I don’t ignore anything because I am not invested emotionally in any of these candidates. You won’t see me posting a “!” after every sentence or saying things like “He’s the ONLY one who can save us!”

But it’s funny, when a thread is about Trump it won’t be long until someone pops up with “Well Cruz did this or Cruz said that.” That doesn’t override the multiple negatives of your guy. It’s a matter of who is the closest to my beliefs.

“Yet, isn’t this why we are lionizing Trump — becausee he’s willing to stand up, speak up, be politically incorrect and say “Hell, no!”?”

Trump certainly would have no stomach to react that way. He, along with people worldwide, have seen the baby boy floating in the water. It is very upsetting. Trump’s enemies would accuse him of being abusive to the helpless when he definitely is NOT abusive to the helpless. From the accounts I have read, he is always helping the helpless. Trump goes after someone who attacks —the big game—but not people who cannot fight back or are weak.

It will be like our southern border. The more you help, the more will be enticed to flood in.

I noticed Thomas Sowell wrote that there is not too much anyone can do for the situation. It has gotten out of hand, thanks to Obama. And with the Iranian deal, it is going to get inconceivably worse. He is the one who should be called to account and not some Republican candidate.

Now, I’ll have to say, the ones I have seen on TV are definitely not helpless nor weak. They are just gutless, in my estimation (or infiltrators). If they got in the face of the terrorists like they do to the Europeans trying to help them, they probably would not be in the shape they are in.
