Now that Mount McKinley is no more, liberals are turning their eyes toward Washington, D.C., and Ronald Reagan National Airport.
The influential liberal political action committee CREDO Action is behind the effort with a petition drive.
The petition says that because John Boehner and congressional Republicans complained when President Barack Obama restored Alaska's Mount McKinley name to Denali, they should stay consistent and change Ronald Reagan National Airport back to its original name honoring Americas first president, George Washington.
Republicans, led by Boehner, voted to rename Washington National Airport after Ronald Reagan in 1998.
"Given Speaker Boehners current outrage and disappointment at President Obamas decision to rename Mount McKinley, its time to give him the opportunity to make up for his own past mistakes," the petition reads. "Sign the petition and tell John Boehner he needs to be consistent when it comes to naming Americas landmarks."
CREDO Action had more than 59,000 signatures on the petition as of Sunday afternoon, toward its goal of 75,000.

IOW: They are a couple of rich, capitalist, commie wannabes.
..... And they call themselves the enlightened ones.
Not a single coherent thought...ever!
“..... And they call themselves the enlightened ones.”
Yes, they think highly of themselves. a bunch of arrogant, childish a holes is more like it.
Its amazing how much stupid crap liberals can dream up when they don’t have to break a sweat actually working for a living especially when everything is paid for by someone else’s dime.
Soetoro International
Stupid farkers.........
We need to change name of Cspe Kennedy back to Cape Caneveral! All those roads, schools named for MLK back to their original names.
Exactly, but most people don’t care what a building is named. They are too busy working to pay for liberal crap!
Despite the fact that most of the controllers from that era have retired, noone ever calls it Reagan on the radio. It is a long standing tradition to avoid getting bad treatment by the controllers.
Thurgood Marshall airport near Baltimore until recently, was known only as Baltimore Washington International.
“National” airport is a “landmark”? LOL!!!!
I thought Cape Kennedy WAS changed back to Cape Canaveral in the early 1980’s?
Really? I must have missed that.
Washington already had a lot of stuff named after him. That mountain was McKinley’s only claim to fame. Leave McKinley alone...
I did some research after I posted to you.
Lyndon Johnson changed the name of Cape Canaveral to Cape Kennedy by executive order, and announced his decision in a televised address six days after JFK’s assassination.
The people in the area preferred the name Cape Canaveral, however, and the Cape was officially re-named Cape Canaveral on October 9, 1973.
The Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island, however, is still known as the Kennedy Space Center.
I think it should be changed, too. How about Ronaldus Magnus International?
Of course they do. They’re racists.
You mean Idlewild?
