Trump can't actually win, can he?
Los Angeles Times ^ | September 6, 2015 | Doyle McManus

Posted on 09/06/2015 10:19:29 AM PDT by Biggirl

I talked with Republican wise men last week — sober establishment strategists who have seen many presidential campaigns come and go — to ask them how long the improbable popularity of Donald Trump can last. Reassure me, I said: He can't actually win, right? Their answers surprised me.

Oh, and with the potential end coming to those powers that be’s ability to flood the country with easily enslaved immigrants who are easy to take advantage of, perhaps one can see the real reason for a stock market crash. Future less profits and actual fiscal responsibility leave less of other peoples’ money with which to play.

What a fixation! Why don't you name everyone that did that and ask them? Personally I'm for Cruz, but this is getting funny as hell.

He is getting Christians to support abortion and gay marriage. Something is very wrong with that.

If you are supporting Cruz, why are you supporting the person driving Cruz out of the race?

Why don’t you ban t hat guy? He’s nothing but a shill for the GOPe, masquerading as a conservative.

Trump supported Romney a well known documented GOPe’er all the way.. instead of several well known documented conservatives that were rejected harshly by the GOPe..
at the 2012 republican primary..

Romney a known collaborator with democrats and the GOPe...
Inventor of Romney-Care model for Obama-care.. was for Common core.. and other GOPe sweet thangs..

Trump/Romney were homies.. vatos, chicken house weasels..

AND YOU SAY I’M for the GOPe..
Seems you have not a clue of what the GOPe actually IS..
You got big balls.. knothead...

A “Christian” who supports abortion or gay marriage is no Christian.

I am OK with a tariff and I have a degree in Economics so I understand it allot more than most.

Tariffs are positive taxes when they offset income and corporate taxes.

Trump has said he wants to ELIMINATE the corporate tax.

That means that a business based in the US with manufacturing located here will pay exactly ZERO taxes on income. While those companies manufacturing in foreign lands to take advantage of low wages will be required to pay a tariff on certain finished goods.

That gives businesses, both domestic and foreign an incentive to locate both management and manufacturing in this country.

How many companies will rush into a country that offers ZERO corporate tax rate as well as protection from foreign competitors? Can you say hundreds of thousands?

Corporations do not pay taxes, they pass the cost of taxes to the end user. Those corporations that have domestic production and domestic labor forces are spared any taxes on their income and are able to offer goods and services at a significant advantage to those who must import their finished goods.

An added bonus would be a higher quality end product. If you hadn't noticed a vast majority of the crap coming out of China and other countries is junk!

A trade War would KILL every one of our trading partners long before it would kill us. The reason being is that we not only have a huge supply of the Worlds natural resources, military (particularly deep water navy that protects shipping for free to our competitors) but THE primary market for finished goods at a large profit is the United States. We as a country compromise more than 25% of the entire World economy. Offering free access to our competitors is suicidal.

Most foreign countries already have large tariffs on American finished goods, that is why so many manufacturers have outsourced their production. They get a free ride in America as well as a free ride in the country they produce.

Tariffs are a much more desirable tax than any other form of taxation, particularly for a large continental power with a massive supply of raw materials. IE: the USA. That is why for the first 130 years of our countries existence they where the primary form of Federal revenue.

I can’t even fathom your deductive reasoning. So my finding it funny as hell, the pro Trump camp and the Trump is the AntiChrist camp arguing like children in kindergarten is translated by by your bias into me supporting Trump? One of has some issues, I’ll give you a hint, it’s not me.

There isn’t one person running in the GOP that is talking about gutting the Federal Government. Not even Cruz. If you somehow understand that they intend on doing so, you are a fool.

No one will eliminate Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, or most government handouts. That means limiting them to those who are here legally in order to lower their costs.

There are a whole lot of them talking about ‘Comprehensive Immigration Reform’ IE Amnesty and open borders to the detriment of every middle class American.

If we do not close the border and attempt to stop the illegal hoards of illiterates infesting our country we are done for.

I know.. a limited Tariff with a sunset can be good...
Might have worked well 200 years ago.. even 100 years ago BUT TODAY.. taxes are never sunset-ed or they are replaced with something worse..

GUT the federal government like a fish and even I might be open to a tariff..
But now. not now.. the LAST thing the US Federal gov't needs is

.... MORE MONEY .... nope never not now

What needed IS.. less federal government NEEDING less money to run it.. and for five years(or so) paying off some of the national debt.. at current revenue.. with hope of draconian tax reduction in the future..

A traitor like McConnell or Boehner? That kind of traitor? They seem to be the worst kind. At least with a Democrat they are upfront with their desires to destroy America through fundamental change.

WRONG....... Ted Cruz IS..

SocSec. should be replaced by a private system like that in Chile.. Not Chiles system but one like it.. (private)
Chiles system works well recipients even get MORE MONEY..

Get the federal gov’t out of the Soc.Sec. BUSINESS.. completely..
AND the Health Care BUSINESS as well...

Someone’s foolish but it is not me..

Because it ISN’T currently.. and hasn’t been for a hundred years.. (or more)..

I’m for gutting to federal government to make it MORE Constitutional like TED... PREACHES constantly..

If you havn’t heard him its because
you do not want to hear him.. easy to You Tube it..

A few logical practical laws can fix other so-called entitlement systems too..
all it takes is the want to... d’s and r’s haven’t wanted to..

With CRUZ a sea change in federal government can happen for the better..
With Trump a sea change in federal government can happen for the worse..

** It’s IMPOSSIBLE to make the cureent federal givernment system WORK.. no matter how efficient it “seems” to be..
Socialism simply does not WORK..

Re your message review. I read much of it and I share the concerns you express. Since you feel Trump is the solution please tell to me exactly how he intends to achieve those goals.

What are all the other candidates specific details/plans regarding our declining country, our country killing violent lawless borders, this legal immigration free for all, punitive trade laws which are killing the middle class, our 18 trillion in debt, and their plans to dramatically downsize the federal government size, regulatory scope and control of everything?

Please tell to me exactly how the other candidates intend to achieve those goals. Thank you.

I don’t believe he will win the nomination or the general. He is too toxic to too many people. Thanks to the MSM.

I hate to say it as I love him and will vote for him, but he can’t win. YET.

One or two terms as a VP or high profile cabinet officer in a Trump administration would make him a winner in the future. Ted is barely old enough to shave. He has time.

Can’t be a asshole If I’m agreeing with you.. damn.. lol.
