Washington (CNN)Republican front-runner Donald Trump said Friday that he wished a Kentucky county clerk, Kim Davis, was not jailed for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, but he added that the Supreme Court has ruled and it is "the law of the land."

Idiot noob strikes again
There is the possibility that Cruz can bring Trump around. They seem to appreciate each other and may well develop in to a formidable team in the coming weeks and months. Trump needs to see the religious liberty aspect the way Cruz articulates it. I suspect we’ll see movement in that direction in the coming days.
Two, Trump is teachable and if he is really sincere about fixing our country, somewhere along the line, the Constitution will appear on his radar screen.
well then if he’s teachable he can be Cruz’s VP and be tutored by the best...Cruz
Ping.
Thought you might want to see this one, too.
Tourette Man continues barking out his New York philosophy between pretenses of being conservative.
So Trump is afraid of the HOmosexual Lobby....maybe he has got a Larry Sinclair out there.
It’s no more absurd than judges changing the age-old definition of marriage by reinterpreting an amendment that everybody knows was written by people who had never even conceived of the notion of same-sex marriage let alone intended to mandate it.
The very fabric of our constitution and its freedom of religion requirement has been completely torn apart by the jailing of this woman. Every single person in the chain of command who put this woman in jail is responsible for that. They cannot pass it off as “just following orders.”
We will only retain our freedoms for as long as we are willing to fight for them.
I earnestly hope you’re correct about Trump. I sent him a brief note, said I was giving him unsolicited advice.
1. Less me, me, ME. More we and us.
2. Read Milton Friedman
3. Get a private tutorial course from Mark Levin.
What a scurrilous charge. If you have any integrity, you will ask the admin mod to delete your post.
I think those amendments are good ideas as are balanced budget and anti-abortion amendments. This woman can’t afford to rot in jail while waiting for an amendment though.
The tougher question is how does a minority preserve their rights if the majority to pass those amendments doesn’t exist? One thing we need is candidates for state and federal office willing to campaign on defying this order from the Supreme Court and refusing to enforce it. If the federal government ordered states to euthanize all their mentally retarded, states would defy it. So it’s not a question of policy and ability, it’s a question of morality and courage.
Time to Dump the Trump.
Bump for Trump.
“This is the major reason I believe Trumps a Dem plant sent to scramble the primary.”
I think your out of your mind...
AMEN!
I disagree that we have a plethora. Two perhaps.
Having Kim Davis in federal custody removes all doubt of the criminalization of Christianity in our country. We must defend religious liberty and never surrender to judicial tyranny. Five, unelected Supreme Court lawyers did not and cannot make law. They can only make rulings. The Supreme Court is not the Supreme branch and it’s certainly not the Supreme Being.
I am proud of Kim for standing strong for her beliefs. Who will be next? Pastors? Photographers? Caterers? Florists? This is a reckless, appalling, out-of-control decision that undermines the Constitution of the United States and our fundamental right to religious liberty!!!!
-DONALD TRUMP
OK that’s better
Good suggestions.
I think Trump is the ignition. Cruz needs to be the VP. If Trump is a good or great President, hopefully Cruz could get elected and Cruz could finish the job.
Thank you, TomasUSMC.
I think we have Trump because I don’t think ANY of the others will beat the Republocrats.
I think Bush would beat Cruz. Gag me with a spoon.
Trump is there to get Cruz in as VP. Trump can do a lot of good, probably won’t do too much harm, and Cruz can then go from VP to President, I hope, and finish the job.
Bump, Don’t Dump, Trump.
I think I have a pain in my Rump.
