Five current Rutgers football players, including the cornerback at the center of a university-led investigation into coach Kyle Flood, were charged Thursday with assaulting a group of individuals, including one student whose jaw was broken during the unprovoked attack, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Anthony A. Caputo, director of the New Brunswick Police Department, announced.

Are they sure it wasn’t lacrosse players?
“How damn stupid can you get? “
At Iowa State many years ago, a couple of football players robbed a Burger King. They were easily IDed and caught.
The Burger King had large photos of all the football players on the wall.
Football players are the alpha males of our society, and you can’t expect alpha males to obey the rules that apply to lesser humans. This is just another episode in the feminists’ War on Real Men.
Good one!
Wayne answers your query nicely, at 33, from the comment section of the story.
The Win/Arrest ratio really should be the first reaction to the story, and the first measurement of a decent coach.
But, but dose innocent chillums was “unarmed” durin de “assault,” so it din happen. (Pardon my pore use of Ebonics; I’m still larnin.)
Go back to the days when Freshmen could not play. Prove you are a student before you play and no red-shirting. Games were just as interesting when the rules are the same.
The best way to fix this, and most of our problems, is intact Father and Mother lead families with Christian morality.
Don’t forget his cousin, Colostomy Jones.
My assumption was totally without basis, my comment was a thoughtless and emotionally damaging microaggression against those who are less educated and less fortunate than I. It was undeniably a product of the bigoted attitudes which were instilled in me by the white privilege I was an undeserving recipient of during my racist upbringing.
At the very LEAST it should have been preceded by a trigger warning.
To whom should I sincerely apologize?
“The real point isnt that the criminals are black. “
With all the encouragement for black violence from the top down, it is not surprising that these privileged blacks are acting like thugs.
I went to school with that guy’s older brother, Prostatectomy Jones.
Years ago I taught at an SEC university. Because I had several players in class, I got a call early in the semester from the Athletic Department, assuring me that there was no pressure to give them special treatment, but they requested that I notify the Department if any of their athletes were not doing well in the course. They promised to get them tutors or other help to pass the course. I thought that was appropriate and didn't feel any pressure. Moreover, I kept office hours to offer help to any student who needed tutoring.
Of course, that was back in the day when universities didn't recruit thugs.

You left out a tight pu-sy! But in the “black community,” those are very rare!
Hey, at least the Wolverines might get 1 win.

Razohnn was majoring in Criminal Justice.
I corrected it for you.
And the Cougs are playing Rutgers this year. But really this list is meaningless; Mike Leach has probably thrown more guys off teams for misbehavior that the next three combined. What this actually says is that unlike a lot of other schools, WSU doesn’t send someone from the AD’s office down to the police station with a handful of tickets and hats to smooth things over - “Here ya go fellas, boys will be boys. Big game next week!” This also doesn’t talk about the nature of the infraction - in Pullman an MIP will get your name in the paper. For a list like this we need to know what the infractions are, could be anything from an unpaid ticket to manslaughter.
